He actually had a share of the Big East in 2011 and 2012. Last two years there he went 23-3. He had a BCS Bowl win as a HUGE underdog over Florida.

If he was in play he'd be #2 on my list, well above the rest of the pack.

A buddy of mine played for him at Louisville during Strong's first two years, and when it looked like he might get fired from Texas I said he could be a dark horse pick to take over Miami. He said Strong would absolutely dominate down there. I tend to agree that he would do very well.
 
If it's between Charlie Strong, Mario, Chud and Schiano get me Charlie strong

ive lost hope that the idiots at the school will make a good hire like Herman, Fuente or Butch.

Bring Charlie Strong to Miami.

I have a number of relatives who live in Austin. I know for a FACT that Strong is unhappy in Texas. The BBQ is nothing like he thought it would be. He likes Kansas City style and Texas BBQ is very different from that.

I'm With Charlie on this one. I ate at the "best" BBQ place in Austin and was disappointed. It was just aiight.
 
Strong doesnt leave Texas at 5 million per year to coach at Miami. If Texas fires him, that would be a different story.
 
If we came out of this with Charlie Strong instead of Al Golden and any of you still tries to complain... Potato.

I read a column somewhere the other day that 'you can almost be sure that Jimmie Sexton will be involved in the UM hire somehow'.
