I am very luke warm on Strong. No so much cause he's black, I mean I don't care what you look like as long as you can get the job done. Its just that I am not sure how much Teddy Bridgewater affected his resume. Teddy is obviously a really good QB. I mean dudes playing well at Minnesota. Yet, despite having Teddy, Strong never won his conference. Furthermore, he had Hurt as his recruiter, a guy who doesn't give a **** about committing violations to get players in. And then there's the body of evidence at Texas.

So I am just not sure about Strong.

3 of his 4 losses this year were to ranked teams. He lost a game by missing an extra point. Could've easily won 2 of those 4. Regardless, most likely he will finish 7-5, improving on his first years record. He took over a depleted program and is in year 2.

The only red flag is his recruiting. That's where I think him being a bad fit shows the most. He belongs at an SEC school or at a Florida program, period. (This years circumstances are an anomaly as well. Usually won't have 3 undefeated instate schools in week 9, 2 of which are ranked in the top 5.. and A & M w/ their new facilities/SEC hype)

He doesn't need Clint Hurtt to recruit SoFla if he is the HC down here. We could do a lot worse.
