Feagles is a huge liability

Feagles has time to improve, but we need another punter that can beat him out or push him to get better so he can
keep his job...

Aside from that special teams as a whole is our Achilles heel. The punter always puts our defense in bad field position. The kick off coverage always puts our defense in bad field position.

And our punt and kick return game isnt a scoring threat, or threat to flip field position, because our blocking is terrible.

Next year we will have added more depth, and therefor will be better in the coverage department, but coaching will have to improve if we are going to field a better return unit.

Kickoff return blocking has been bad since the first game of last year.

Guys were blasting Jeff Thomas at first but if u watch closely the guy on the opposite side never seems to block his man, which leads Thomas getting hit from his backside. Design and execution is sooo bad.

Goldenesque special teams I swear.

Feagles stinks. Anyone who has watched games in person can see that he doesn't kick a good ball. Teams usually can't afford to put multiple punters on schollie but Todd Hartley did with Feagles and it has not paid off. Special teams play has been very disappointing. UM is spending hundreds of thousands per year on a coach that has put 2 players on the field with the same number on multiple occasions.

Like 6 or 7 threads in early October lot of different posters seen it . The others wanted to play the freshman card . We would be better off throwing a long interception

10 punts averaging 36.7 yards isn't going to cut it for a Division 1 team vying for a National Championship. His 13 yard punt was embarrassing.

He's generally very good at punting on a short field. His hang time is great and most of his punts are not returned because of it. It is the style of punting that his dad (a legendary punter with the Canes & Giants) employed for a long, long time in CFB & the NFL. Other great Miami punters like Tim Kalal also punted that way. The big differences currently between Feagles Jr. and his dad and other great punters are:

1) He doesn't have a long ball. He needs to develop that (even if he has to sacrifice a little hang time). He's got to be able to boom kicks & flip the field position battle.

2) He needs to be more consistent. His style of punting is high-beta (way off the side of his foot). That's why he has short punts & shanks from time to time. Hopefully with additional maturity and leg strength, he can punt the ball a slightly less risky way (which will eliminate some really tough plays -- where we basically hand the other team at least 3 points).

I'm hoping he continues to work hard and refine his craft. It may not be a bad idea to find someone else on the team to punt the long ones. Remember Randall Cunningham occasionally punting & booming 60-70 yard punts for the Eagles (and he was the starting QB).

Feagles is complete TRASH. Too long to get his punts off, ridiculously inconsistent, seems to put up a shank for 20 yards once every other game. There is not a single scenario where Richt can justify allowing him to be on this team next year. Find a graduate transfer and bring in a freshman to develop.

If anyone on this board is currently enrolled at UM, please...PLEASE punch this kid in his face. Do us all a favor.

He's an 18 year old college student.

You should seriously consider ending your own life, what a piece of ****

Can’t believe he is the best we can do. All the players are young college kids—they have to perform. And his performance today was lousy.

No, no, no, you're missing the point. Miami lost the game today because of the true freshman punter who had to punt 10 times because the starting QB couldn't hit wide open targets.

It's the punter's fault!

I've never seen a starting college punter at any level shank as many punts as he has this season, and I've played and watched a lot of college football. Is it a coaching thing or the kid's confidence?

Miami gets killed in field position against other teams after punts - it hasn't been as obvious or costly this season because Miami's D getting the turnovers. That early short punt set the stage.

Clemson's punter showed his value on field position last night.

Not a good punter at all. Hope he gets suspended this week somehow.

If Rosier completes what is known as the forward pass, Feagles doesn't have to punt 10 times. He had a rough day, but their stud returner did nothing, so it wasn't all bad. Truth is we shouldn't have punted so many times, which is not on Feagles.

you saw it in the clemson -sc game, the clemson punter completely set the tone for the game, and put clemsons D in a position to make plays, Feagles was a disaster friday

Instead of punting we're better off throwing a hail marry and hoping someone catches it regardless of team. Punting has been Pittful
