#2 - Happy Valley 2001 - as the U part 2 pointed out - PSU pulled out all the stops - 1) First game after stadium expanded 2) Honored the team that beat us in the Fiesta 3) but the biggest emotional charge is that a former DB Adam Tailaferro(?) who many thought would be paralyzed for life after getting injured in a game lead their team on the field. Game me chills..... we then destroyed them

#1 BC 2001 - We had zero business winning that game. KD had 4 picks.

Same for me. I came back with friends to my Alma Mater, caught so much **** wearing a green Dorsey jersey in a sea of Blue&White but had the biggest grin on my face as we proceeded to smack the **** out of them. 30-0 at halftime. Total domination. I had never heard the stadium so quiet.

I got to see Miami play Clemson in death valley back in 2005. Had 50 yard line seats behind the Miami bench. Which will probably never happen again. Game went into triple overtime. Wasn't the most meaningful game in canes history. Clemson wasn't the monster they are now. But the reason it stands out for me is because it was the first time I got to see Devin Hester live. He only had a couple of returns. But it was the way he went about it. He walked out there like he didn't want to be there. He was looking at the sidelines, yelling at other players & had his hands on his hips until the ball hit its high point in the air. The second the ball started coming down, he went to work. And when he caught the ball, he was gone. He was just unreal. On a different level.

I'm not going to count bowl games as road games, even though most bowl games (outside of the OB games were), so.....

1990 @ Cal (The game that brought about the "Miami Rule")
1991 Wide Right I
2001 @ FSU
2003 @ FSU
2010 @ Clemson (we won, game wasn't great, but watching a game there is great)
2012 @ GT

I have been a fan since the 1983 National Championship game. I have never waivered through the good times or bad. Living in Texas ,Miami doesn't play nearby very often. I have never been to a Miami game. I am going to Miami vs LSU next year though in Dallas. Can't wait.

My favorite road game has to be JJ's second game. It was in Tampa against the Turds. We were defending champs playing on a few days rest after beating crybaby Pat Dye and Auburn (with Bo Jackson) at the Kickoff Classic in New York. Gators scored to take the lead with a minute left. Their fans were going crazy! Bernie led Miami something like 60 yards in 40 seconds to win the game. To top it off, we intercepted Kerwin Bell with seconds left and ran it back for another score...every Gator knocked on his ***. It was glorious!

Best:
2002 FLorida
2009 FLorida State
2003 FLorida State

The funnest trip was last year @Notre Dame. Not because of the game but because I had a blast in Chicago.

Worst:
2012 @Notre Dame. Freezing my *** off for that Golden special.
2013 FLorida State (another Golden special)
2013 Bowl Game vs Louisville (the straw that broke the camels back).

2005 #5 Miami @ #3 Va Tech...as a VA Canes fan those arrogant pricks at Va Tech nag you nonstop. I'm with my homie surrounded by thousands of Tech fans. Only visible Miami fan was like 20 rows up. The Tech fans wouldn't stfu until Tech came out and got destroyed by Miami 27-7. It was hilarious screaming "I CANT HEAR YOU" in the middle of thousands of Tech fans after Marcus Vick got sacked and fumbled for a TD making it 27-0

Agree. Tennessee fans were very polite before and after the game.

Tailgating at Tennessee = moonshine & venison chili

70 yards in 28 seconds and the great thing about pick 6 was it covered the spread as we were up by 6 and spread was 6 1/2

1996 against WVU, T-Mack blocking the punt. The cops were telling us we should leave early for our own safety. They were right, Randy Shannon gets nailed with the garbage can. Walking in they were throwing rocks and bottles at us.

1991 FSU, a tie.

Semper Canes!!!

Miami vs Arkansas, '86, place was intimidating as ****, but not for the payers.
Also '88 vs LSU, to say their fans were ****ed off at the beat down would be an understatement. It was a night game and one of the few places I was uneasy walking out of.

'87

2005- My first trip to Blacksburg to see us play Va Tech and the absolute beating we laid down on them that night

Will say Tech is one of the best places Ive been too for a game hands down.

and...

2002 vs Florida in the swamp. What a game and just the look of disappointment and sadness in their fans eyes in the 3rd quarter when it finally set in that they could not hang with us on the field

I was at that game too and thoroughly enjoyed the beatdown. The young PSU fans were total idiots. The older ones were gracious.

In Hogtown, 1986
Canes 23-15 over the gator...nothing better than walking out of that dump amidst all the gator tears

2009 @ Doak - pregame walk to the game through fraternity row was epic, police escort on motorcycles, Miami fans did not back down for nothing. Could not find a soul on the return walk after the game, lights out and all in bed, I could hear crying from the dorms.

1999 vs. Ohio State Kickoff Classic @Meadowlands W 23-12
2001 @Penn State W 33-7
2002 FLorida W 41-16
2002 @Tennessee W 26-3
