Guidry runs a "get to QB at all costs" scheme with DL.

He MUST have LBs who can cover and DB who can tackle.

If not, just pay Pedo State a huge buyout and hire back Little Manuela as DC.

I wish people would stop trying to remove Flagg from the roster. If there were more guys like him, with his attitude and drive- last year might not have been such a disaster…

Let his role going forward evolve…. Stop wishing him gone. He’s a leader by example

I suspect there is a very fine line between Little Manuela and Guidry's D.

I'd offer Diaz's D is indistinguishable from Guidry's if Little Manuela's units didn't miss 50 tackles per game.

Good example is all the whiffs against Mich St. They make even 50% of what they missed and Miami maybe wins that game.

Guidry's D tackles better past LoS than Diaz's futility. In fact, it is a critical component of the philosophy.

Should have always been an A+ backup and special teams stud. Definitely is a film junkie who is great to have in the team meeting rooms

Manny's D relied on having a jaquan johnson back there. we didn't after anyone like him he left and we got exposed. jaquan is in the league because he's smart and a reliable tackler. the post jaquan players couldn't tackle a sloth in a phone booth

To a degree, si.

However, Jaquan wouldn't have fixed all the missed tackles by each defender in back half of defense.

Some games it was almost on purpose it seemed. Benny Hill skit. Keystone cops futile.

Hope he can do a better job in pass defense than we have recently had. Frustrating to see TE's wide open on seam routes or just sitting in the 5-10 yard range.
