Excuses coming in

Not only is he a God awful, in-over-his-head coach...but homeboy has zero accountability. Everything is an excuse despite the fact we're going on his FIFTH year. Nevermind the fact he's about to have SEVERAL guys from last years team drafted in the upcoming draft....the man has shown he has no idea what to do with talent even when he HAS it.

This guy needs to get hit by a truck, period. It might be our only way out of this purgatory.

All you need to know from that interview:

“We really haven’t changed who we are, philosophically."

Same BS

Golden today "Not having Duke Johnson is presenting a great challenge to us" per CaneSport.

No kidding moron, you've had 4 years to bring in talent to replace him but lost them to other schools.

That quote is a bit out of context. Here is more of that exchange, which appears to be a fair answer:

Life after Duke Johnson?

Golden: “I think it’s a great challenge for our guys. Gus Edwards had a really good spring. He’s got to continue to show the responsibility and accountability to be that guy. I think Joe Yearby is also a guy that’s competing for that, although he’s markedly different than Gus. Trayone Gray, Mark Walton and Walter Tucker will also be in that battle come the summer. Again, I’m anxious to see how it plays out. I’m happy with the direction that group is going, but obviously, they have a great challenge and hopefully they have something to prove here over the next four months.”

Staff kind of looked at the season moving forward, knowing you don’t have a weapon like Duke. What have you kind of done throughout the spring to make up for that?

Golden: “We really haven’t changed who we are, philosophically. We’re very excited about Gus and Joe and Trayone Gray is very talented. He’s still learning the position but very talented. Mark Walton is certainly a talented young man coming in. So, we’re going to have the guys there. It may not be just one, it may be more of getting several guys the same amount of touches. But again, if one of those guys separates themselves as Duke did, then he’ll get the majority of the touches. But right now, we’re still in that phase of waiting to see one of them break out. If not, we’ll do it by committee. Either way, we’re fine with it. We’re excited about the direction that group is going.”

Well, there goes this thread and the OP's post.

Lesson to be learned here, you don't need to make up crap to put Al down, he gives you enough ammo as it is.

Still, you can make up quotes and the usual crowd will jump on it rather than make sure what they're talking about is accurate. Bunch of the usual suspects with egg all over their face.

As I guessed, he didn't say anything any other coach in the country wouldn't say. Typical comments, much ado about nothing, regarding a departed player of Duke's calibre. If he had said player x was filling the shoes quite well, we'd have the usuals saying how he's handed the job to player x rather than making them all compete for it.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

The constipation of the proclamation that is vacilating of the vavassor could promptly be conducive of the regime of the cerebral medulla oblongata of Golden's psyche here. (just like that statement made ABSOLUTELY no sense, neither does Golden remaining employed here.)

you know it! lol.

It's not easy replacing two first round picks, and four top 3 round picks. C'mon guys, stop *****ing. Progress is being made.

Yall are crazy as ****. Ask saban about replacing cooper and collins, ask jimbo about winston and all the guxs they are losing. What you think they are going to say?

Nobody has proven they can take over for duke who had almost 2,000 all purpose yards.

It doesn't matter how good you recruit, when you lose key players you don't know how those guys are going to play when it's gametime.

We all want a new coach but **** this **** is getting stupid.

He is right. When you lose one of your best rb in the history of the program, stat wise, its going to hurt. Do you believe Pete Carroll said the same thing to himself after losing Bush?

Personally attacking a poster. Thats an infraction. Mods please put the ban hammer on this rule breaking hooligan deviant

It's altogether unsurprising that the type of people who defend Golden are the same type who would use the term "chickenheads."

That being said, in context, that quote wasn't a big deal.

Here's the guy who serves coffee to the secretary in the admin office.

The absolute worst coach in UM history and could actually be the worst coach in FBS. Spineless, defanged and pathetic.

Frauden is getting the fans and admin ready for a 4 win season with all these excuses.

I'm sure Gus, Yearby, Chocolate and Walton love hearing that vote of confidence.

It's South ******* Florida, we should never be lacking for weapons in the backfield.

Golden is the most stubborn coach I've ever seen. The difintion of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Hey Al, this isn't Temple, .500 isn't ever going to be good enough.

I thought the challenge was finding ways to waste the best skill position player in the nation.
