Etienne

If I were him, I’d take the free ‘COVID’ year and return next year. Because **** it. Guy must get orgies on demand at Clemson. Best explanation for why a dude who’d likely already be starting or in a split situation on Sundays returned to beat up on college kids. For what it’s worth, the Ivey brain fart inflated his numbers.
I think right before that he was avg 3.0 ypc.
-He's going to explode in the rest of their schedule though.

I dont think he sucks. I just think its the scheme he is in that plays to his strengths with DABO . He is a kid i wanted us to offer in high school. I like him. I just dont see him in the elite era like some of you guys. And i dont base it of of what guys do to us ....cuz got**** the midget rbs for Louisville went for 100+ too.

I don't think he's Zeke Elliott, man. But he's good. idk

Except that he did. That insurance policy isn’t as much as the contract. Edwards-Helaire got 9.9 mil guaranteed as the 32nd pick.
Edwards Helaire likely didnt make a dime while at LSU...This dude and his family is likely sitting on 6 figures at Clemson before he goes to the nfl
-There is NO other reason for this to be happening at Clemson for the last 3 years and it isnt "Culture" or Dabo's bible thumping.

He'll get a bigger contract than Helaire as he is likely already slated to be the top back in the class.

He's not near as good as Cook imo. If DJ Ivey doesnt DJ ivey his numbers actually arent THAT great. He's a threat out of the backfield..he has nic e burst and can take it the distance....but honestly i seen some freak shows at rb today that stood out more so than he did playing us.

He has some Kamara like ability, dont think he has that wiggle..but has the explosion

The Ivey play hurt, I am critical of it, but I also tried to put myself in his shoes there to figure out why he didn't just keep going and ride him out of bounds.

There's two things I came up with.

He thought Etienne would cut back across him towards the middle of the field. No clue if he knew he had Bolden closing or not, but that could be why he slowed down. That and Etienne gave a fast stutter step.

Secondly, if he just maintained speed, he was on a collision course, play over. Etienne with his speed and power is a load, was he worried he would get nuked into oblivion at full speed? I'm guessing it was the first.

All in all, that's all part of Etienne's game. He just hit a higher gear and flew by like nobodies business.

Guy will get you six on his worst plays and is very rarely knocked backward or even takes a solid thump.

F8cking Auburn has a true freshman rb that looks like he would eat Etienne for weights.

I pray Knighton turns out similar to Etienne. We should be able to develop our 2 freshmans with Lashlee having some improvement to the run game concepts.

The real question is wtf is it gonna take for us to land a kid like that. He is a man amongst boys.

I love Knighton, but he doesn't have that size (height looks a good three inches or so shorter than Etienne) and sure as heck doesn't have that top gear.

If only we could be that fortunate though.

The only thing i could think of was that he didnt know he had all that help with him...because he essentialy was just in the way and him slowing down i have no clue what that would of done ANYWAY. I saw the lil stutter Etienne gave but honestly that was Ivey being Ivey at times he is timid in run support and that appeared to be one of those times.

-That being said i completely have been screaming this (i coach) for years and it antagonizes me....I HAVE NO CLUE WHY GUYS DONT JUST PUSH GUYS OUT ON THE SIDELINE. It seems like 1 in 6 guys from high school to the nfl have the objectivity to do so. The love tap Ivey gave tonight likely would of made me and him fight in the lockerroom lol

Haven't even talked about his dance up through the middle, low hurdle, and the burst out of it. Get out of here with that.

He’s way more impressive in the pass game and think he’ll be well-served by some of what’s going on in the NFL.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned him in the category of top backs in the NFL, necessarily. But, he’s abusing college guys.

Etienne is only like 5'10. Unless you believe Knighton is 5'6. They are around the same height Knighton is like 5'9 1/2. He doesnt have the top end gear of Etienne (i think he ran track) but he **** sure is likely more shifty..and runs around a respectable sub 4.5 40

Yes, it's another defender. Use it. Cracking up at going at it in the locker room. The sideline though, if you've got it in you, is the one time you can literally just unload on someone since if you miss and are positioned right, they're still running out of bounds. Just don't slow down and get all flat footed giving up the sideline.

Everything they do is misdirection eye candy nonsense. Our guys are just so ******* undisciplined they look like superstars. Etienne is a better pro than sunshine, book it.
I mean has Lawrence made an impressive throw on us?.

Im glad you said it. (He's really good) but That offense has been clicking since Tajh Boyd...its at the level of Urban Meyer's sh*t...and all that is smoke n mirrors as well.

I mean the Rogers kid basically runs gassers b4 every play. lol

He’s the best all purpose back in the country. Can’t believe Dabo talked him out of the NFL last year. I’m don’t think he improved his draft stock because NFL doesn’t value RBs anymore. He risked a late 1st round and 4 year contract to run over college guys. I hope he doesn’t get hurt. He’s really good and will have a long NFL career at least as a 3rd down back minimum.
Yeah it was pretty stupid of him to come back as an RB. A knee injury and that’s it and insurance doesn’t cover the potential second contract. Good for Clemson I guess. Look at the NFL teams that have taken an RB high in the first. I don’t see him going top ten middle of the first at best.

We’ll have a couple of guys declare go undrafted and never hear from again.

Yes, those are listed heights, but I don't know why I just see a size difference there. Maybe it's like that dude has to be bigger since he's a man child out there.
