ESPN 97.5 in Houston: Herman is #1 on Miami list

I'd be OK with Herman, and if it is Herman, I'd try to arrange to keep Coley at OC to keep the recruiting class together. Herman is an offensive mind, and will have ultimate say in the offense, and he can ****can Coley in his second year if the results are not too his liking.

BS!

I don't want Coley anywhere near Miami.

His offense did a great job the other night and really racked up some points, didn't they?

He can't call plays for a Pee Wee football team.

This is a really bad joke right? Coley is part of the ******* problem. He's one of the worst OC's in the country.

Herman can't do everything...he's going to have to rely on the OC to actually be an OC...and God knows he's a good enough coach to want no part of a ****** play caller.

I'll sacrifice the entire **** recruiting class for a good staff, including a quality OC and DC. Period.

Don't worry, if Herman gets the job I'd say there is virtually no chance that he would retain Coley -- especially if he watched the Clemson game.

Meh, I don't have a huge problem with that approach. I'd rather Herman bring in his own guy but if he wants to keep Coley to run Herman's offense, I'd be fine with that. After all, that's what happened with Coley in Tally - he was the "OC" but Jimbo was the really OC. Herman is a qualified enough guy to do that, imo

Houston boards are adamant that he ain't leaving for miami

The comments are hilarious but they are the typical sour grapes comments full of envy and/or denial. All fans have it, ours were porsters making excuses for Golden. They can bash Miami all they want but at the end of the day if we want Herman we will get him.

Lol no way in **** Herman would keep Coley.

I'm relatively new to the boards, been lurking for a while, but I gotta ask ... WhatTheHell: what the **** is that in your avatar? I can't see it without laughing my keister off. It's hysterical! If it's a relative or such, apologies in advance to the fine looking feller!

Not only would there be no concern about Herman retaining Coley, but he'd undoubtedly get rid of Kehoe and Swasey as well. He places a heavy emphasis on strength & conditioning and wouldn't tolerate the s***show we currently have. We'd get back to striking fear into opponents right when we get off the bus rather than having our o-linemen look like competitive eaters.

Not only would Herman not keep Coley he'd probably kick his *** in front of the team before he fired him.

First off before today i did not believe we would hire butch. But last night i had a dream he came into UM locker room and announced himself as new coach. I shook his hand and he whispered "I've been waiting for this for a long time. Great to be back" the team and i cheered and clapped and then I woke up. Prophecy maybe?

I had the same dream.

It actually wouldn't be a problem to keep Coley with Herman. I'm pretty sure Herman calls the offensive plays so Coley couldn't ***** that up and he'd be good for our recruiting class.

If Herman is a so called savage, why would he keep Coley, in any capacity? Or, is Herman just being theatrical?

For the relationships built in the 2016 and 2017 classes. It actually makes sense especially coming in after the season. Herman hasn't recruited these kids as heavily because they are not in his back yard. They stick to Texas and Midwestern kids. Would be awful hard to come in and build in 3 months what some coaches have built in two years + relationship wise. Ex. Kevin Beard with Sam Bruce.
