I fail to understand how many of our recruits performed extremely well in camp settings during this off season so far yet almost all of them aside from a few exceptions fell dramatically in the rankings? no wonder ESPN is losing market share and viewership when they push out this kind of garbage does anyone remember when they stated we where a top destination for Malik Zaire when that was not even something being discussed in any way shape or form????

It's the usual suspects....Clemson-Penn State-FSU-Ohio State-Alabama-Stanford and '"THE U'". We stand to get passed by a few on the way to signing day, but , it sure feels nice that we're back in the running with the preceived powers in College Football....

As another poster said, who cares as long as we're getting who we want? Scaife can be a 1-star for all I care. He's going to be an animal in O&G. Dunlap is not a bad player, but is there anyone on this board that would make a trade? Same thing with Davis and Cook, Pope and all those WRs.

For the young guns on here, 13/14 years ago we were screaming over on grassy and Cansport about how Coker's staff was only recruiting for stars and ignoring local talent. Andrew Johnson (not Andre!) and Reggie Youngblood were enough to convince me how useless these rankings are. Now we have real coaches who do their own real evaluations.

Geo at luginbill neck on twitter lol.
They seriously got Schwartz rated 60th overall with mark pope at 218 overall LOL
SAMUELS 33rd and jobe at 108th come tf on...

LOL at the board saying "so-and-so should be ranked number x" without knowing half of the names listed - let alone seeing any tape of 250 of the players. Homerism at it's finest.

Pope and Lingard are in the Army All-American game which is not on ESPN. There is your reason. While Schwartz is in the Under Armor game on ESPN.

Yup. I believe Hightower is playing in the Army game too.

ESPN trying to drum up hype and storylines for their Under Armour game so they rank kids committed to that game higher.

We know Jobe is better than Samuel. In potential and film.

If you are playing in the under armour game you will be ranked higher.

Exactly. This isn't a bias against a school, but most certainly the all-star game you're playing in.

30 Brevin Jordan (129) +99 UA
83 Brian Hightower (34) -49 Army
84 Artur Sitkowski (118) +34
91 Lorenzo Lingard (45) -46 Army
110 Josh Jobe (80) -30 Army
138 Gurvan Hall (222) +84 UA
141 Cleveland Reed (207) +66 UA
153 Nesta Silvera (NR) +147
161 Camron Davis (264) +103
183 Gilbert Frierson (116) -67
215 Mark Pope (238) +23 Army
4* Daquris Wiggins (204) -96
3* Delone Scaife (223) -177
3* D.J. Ivey (277) -123
3* Randy Russell (NR)
NR Thomas Burns (NR)

15 Tyson Campbell (56) UA
31 Josh Moore UA
33 Asante Samuel Jr. (50) UA
37 Al Blades Jr. (59) UA
42 Tyreke Johnson Army
60 Anthony Schwartz UA
158 Elijah Moore (81) UA
294 Robert Hicks (221) UA

Art, Cam and Nesta should be getting UA invites soon!

Gilbert and Scaife maybe getting invites to the Army game.

See comments in red.

Jobe dropping in ranking and lower than Asante & Blades is a joke.

Lingard dropping in ranking and being behind Cook is an atrocity. Not a single justifiable reason why he dropped.
Lingard and Cook both are committed to Army game and both dropped.

How Tyreke Johnson keeps dropping and is lower than Asante & Blades makes no sense either.
Tyreke and Jobe are Army AAs and Asante and Blades are UA.

How Xavier, Austin, Elijah, Schwartz, Thompson, Copeland & Watkins higher than Pope is a joke.
Pope is getting disrespected by ESPN way too much IMO.
Schwartz is wayyyy too high.
Pope is committed to Army AA, Schwartz, Elijah are committed to UA.

Watkins still too high. Xavier still a little too high too.
Watkins is committed to UA AA.

Looks like our Army game guys getting shafted.
Yeap.

Nice nod to bump up Nesta as deserved. Same for Cam, although Cam should be higher than Cook too.

Chatman got in the 300 as deserved for some time, look at his offer sheet.

Frierson dropping a little is fine as he hasn't participated this off-season due to injury.

Ivey gets no respect at all. Drop probably was from not playing much last year but he's better than some guys they threw in the 300 easily.

Scaife getting dropped is a **** atrocity, he should have moved up... A LOT.

Gurvan got a much needed bump, but expected with UA bias from ESPN.
He committed to UA.

Wiggins dropping is understandable as his touches went down last year with a log jam at WR at ridge. Can see him creeping back up in 300 later on.

Think Brevin got bumped maybe a bit too high.
Committed to UA.

Tyson got a bump as he should but of course because he's in the UA game. Guys like Pope & Jobe didn't move up like they should have... cough cough ESPN bias towards their All-Star game.
Tyson committed to UA.

How Dunlap rose up and not Scaife is beyond me.

Patterson way too high. If Patterson in 300 then Ivey should definitely be in there.

Troutman way too high. Good talent but I don't think he's better than Frierson or Ivey like he's ranked on espn.

Think Kayode might be a little too high at moment. Still raw but the tools are there.

UA bias again... How is Hicks higher than Rosendo Louis? How did Louis drop out of the 300 too?

How did David Reese drop out of the 300 when his testing numbers were insane for a OLB and headed to The Opening.

I've been going at him all day.

His reasoning behind Schwartz being higher was his forty. Smh

Admitted that Cook over Lingard could be a mistake.

Had not a single reason for Scaife dropping out of the 300.

Even more than just Miami commits or targets man. Lot of kids who are not even headed to Miami or even on our radar agree with ESPN bias towards Army game kids.
