Lol ok little man
If we make a bowl game, we'd likely be playing on December 17th or sometime before Christmas anyway. Also, considering the number of players already exiting...our players likely already began the offseason between the ears anyway. Some likely started the offseason on September 18th.The sooner we get to the offseason, the sooner we can win another offseason championship. Is it really that hard to understand?![]()
I usually am all for a bowl game, but these dudes have checked out so badly it will take a small miracle to even become bowl eligible. IF we do, the heck with it, let's play the game and get those practices. I just don't see it happening. I also don't see extra practices on the O side doing any **** good. More time practicing a horrible O. Exciting. If we make a bowl game, we'd likely be playing on December 17th or sometime before Christmas anyway. At any time you can get more practices with your players, it's a good thing. Dumb concept to want to lose. GTFOH.With the reports that we are going to see a massive turnover in the roster (24 to 30 kids) transferring out there is really no benefit to getting to the 6th win and going to a bowl game for the extra practices. We know that adjustments will be made to staff. We know that there will be a tremendous youth movement in Year 2 with players that are not on campus yet.
Mario should just focus all efforts on recruiting/transfer portal and securing a top 5 class and not trying to extend the lost season of Year 1 with players/coaches that will not be here.
They’ve been coaching these kids since Spring and the’ve been terrible. Why would a few more practices make any difference?
This is where I’m at. I initially wanted it to end a few weeks ago (would never ever root for a loss). But after letting the dust settle, a bowl game I believe is a good thing. The whole team has not checked out. There are players working hard and trying to get better at their craft. Even though there will be turnover, there are players here now that will be important contributors next year.Win and make it to a bowl. You have a dozen or so freshmen and plenty of transfers with eligibility who will benefit from it. Staff and or players who will be gone will be gone regardless and it has zero effect as far as energy put into other variables like recruiting.
That’s incredibleI posted in the Culture Is Not A Buzzword thread, but on another site, a tweet was posted that Manny Navarro’s podcast stated Manny received a text from a player’s parent stating several players don’t want to beat Pitt so they don’t have to go to a bowl game.
We are focusing on the wrong **** here as usualWin the game.
