Ending Season > Going Bowling

I'd love Cristobal to get his hands on those texts and have a sit down with those players:

it is a failed season.. there's always learnings of course and hopefully growth that will make not just the players, but more importantly the coaches, better. But this season has been a failure..

i'd take the practices, then bow out of the bowl game

You was expecting an ACC championship?

You guys would rather be 5-7 than potentially have a winning season? While FSU/UF go bowling?

You don’t think that might come back to bite us?
Its really more important to be negative and keep saying the same **** over and over about gattis and the offense. That's all that happens in this site now.

Again, the one good season we've had in 20 years is after the one season we went to an average bowl game and won it. It tends to get young kids focused on the offseason and working towards something after a positive outcome. But its better to ******* gripe and be negative and hope for 5-7 while our competitors win more games.

Yeah some players will benefit from more practices. Kam , Wesley, Kelly, Cyrus etc. But i rather the season be over if im honest. Im exhausted, losing all those home games was brutal. I wanna see the mass exodus begin. I want Gattis gone asap. Bowl game means he is here for another month. Unless he coming back regardless and people were lying

I posted in the Culture is not a buzzword thread, but on another site, a tweet was posted that Manny Navarro’s podcast stated Manny received a text from a player’s parent stating several players don’t want to beat Pitt so they don’t have to go to a bowl game.
All of these players should have their scholarships and NIL deals taken away from them with immediate effect.

With the reports that we are going to see a massive turnover in the roster (24 to 30 kids) transferring out there is really no benefit to getting to the 6th win and going to a bowl game for the extra practices. We know that adjustments will be made to staff. We know that there will be a tremendous youth movement in Year 2 with players that are not on campus yet.

Mario should just focus all efforts on recruiting/transfer portal and securing a top 5 class and not trying to extend the lost season of Year 1 with players/coaches that will not be here.

Please shut up. You really don't know what you are talking about. You don't understand the NCAA rules on practice and player contact, and you have no clue on what Mario has ALREADY been doing in recruiting, let alone the fact that most of our HS recruits will commit and/or sign by mid-December.

Time for you to sit down and stop sharing your ridiculous and inaccurate opinion.

too many responses trying to justify why Miami should lose the game

What do you expect? I realize our entire fanbase isn't this way, but the "pvssy" component of Miami's fanbase is one of the biggest and gaping-est pvssy fanbases in all of college football.

Miami has some of the greatest fans...and also some of the WORST fans on the planet. And many of those "worst fans" somehow feel compelled to post on CIS. No idea why.

Have to assume those are some of the guys that are leaving. Don’t let the lockeroom door hit your ***.

Bull ****. You try to win on Saturday and anybody who thinks differently can go **** themselves. Only a puss would mail one in.

How do you really feel Pentagon? LoL

there's a wide gap between 5-7/6-6 and ACC Championship.. lots of scenarios where you could have considered the season successful if we went 8-4 or better...

I personally was expecting an ACC Coastal championship but could have found some silver linings with an 8-4/9-3 type season to still consider the season a success.

once we lost to Duke/MTSU/UNC and the fashion with which we lost to Clemson/A&M/FSU, there really hasn't been anything to consider this season a success...

in your opinion, what would have had to happen to make this season a failure?

We've had this kind of mentality on our roster for years. How many seasons can we look back on and see games where players fail to show up prepared, fail to meet the moment when adversity hits (as it does with every team, every year), fade as the year goes on, quit on coach after coach, season after season. Its tiring as a fan.

Then you jump on here and its coach this corch that. While true to a point, we've now been through 6 head coaches and its the same song and dance.

For those saying "it didn't have to be this bad!"...idk, maybe it did. When the tree is rotting, knocking off a few dead branches doesn't fix the actual problem.

We have had two bowl wins in 15 years. How many of those teams over the past 15 years have wanted to play in a bowl game. One? The year we beat WVU? Probably the last time we had a team with enough talent to overcome the slobs that anchored our roster then, too.
