Emory Williams Completions (Video)

He did say after the game when asked "If the college game seemed faster" he answered with a resounding "YES !" and did admit to some jitters which he was happy to get out of the way .

For a slightly nervous guy who was not used to the speed of the college game, he looked pretty good, to say the least.
I think it should be explicitly called out what a luxury it is for the kid to get his first snaps not only against an easy team in a low pressure situation for this reason, but behind an elite OL so he doesn’t immediately start developing bad habits from getting smacked around at whim. With that in place I think he can grow into an above average QB by next season, maybe elite by the end of his tenure here.

Williams is supposedly a film junky and he’s got better arm talent than anticipated. We got a good one. Hope for some more blowout wins to get him as many reps as possible.

I’m all for this kid being the next thing but man we need to plan in advance for it. Cause if he is the starter brown is gone. That leaves Emory and Judd. That’s not good. Need 4 guys in the room. This year we have 3 and that ain’t it man.

But to reiterate. Emory for heisman

When he starts to get comfortable and scan the field (hoping he develops that but that's up to him and getting rid of happy feet fear etc) he can be really good. Not saying he has happy feet but some kids give up on a play to quick sometimes cause they staring at one guy.

He's not though....Kid went through 4 progressions on one play at 19yrs old. I have absolutely no doubt He's the starter next yr.

Not supposedly, he is a film junky. I was told that when he 1st got to UM. No partying, No social media...very Dorsey-ish in that regard.
Let’s hope he’s Dorsey-ish in many regards!

I feel bad for Jaccuri. He’ll be a career back up if Williams is the QB of the future. I’m assuming Brown redshirts this season, but he’ll still be behind Emory going into Spring. Add 2024 FR Judd Anderson and possibly a portal transfer QB and Jaccuri is the odd man out. Which is a shame, he brings an athletic element we haven’t had that position. You have to wonder if he would change positions, like to WR, or simply transfer out?
