Last year, David Lake had Ivins only on a pod, and Ivins said that he liked Emory more than Rashada because of his pre-snap demeanor. He was calling audibles and changing protections etc in HS. It's no surprise that he's grasping the playbook quickly and confident in pre-snap decision making. Still super impressive, but that's just kind of who he is lol

We either need to get him as many snaps as possible this season, or land a vet QB in the portal cause next years schedule opens up in Gainesville and we also gotta go to lil' Death Valley

I love his "just another day at the office " look. Even after the series he calmly walks up to TVD and talks like he just came out of a conf room meeting..

He did say after the game when asked "If the college game seemed faster" he answered with a resounding "YES !" and did admit to some jitters which he was happy to get out of the way .

For a slightly nervous guy who was not used to the speed of the college game, he looked pretty good, to say the least.

He outplayed Rashada in every Elite camp they both were at.

I thought when he took the sack he did it right.. he didn't get flustered.. stayed composed , didn't try to force the ball.... Got back near the line of scrimmage and went down....
A lot of Freshman woulda panicked and tried to force a bad throw...
