I think it should be explicitly called out what a luxury it is for the kid to get his first snaps not only against an easy team in a low pressure situation for this reason, but behind an elite OL so he doesn’t immediately start developing bad habits from getting smacked around at whim. With that in place I think he can grow into an above average QB by next season, maybe elite by the end of his tenure here.He did say after the game when asked "If the college game seemed faster" he answered with a resounding "YES !" and did admit to some jitters which he was happy to get out of the way .
For a slightly nervous guy who was not used to the speed of the college game, he looked pretty good, to say the least.
He's not though....Kid went through 4 progressions on one play at 19yrs old. I have absolutely no doubt He's the starter next yr.When he starts to get comfortable and scan the field (hoping he develops that but that's up to him and getting rid of happy feet fear etc) he can be really good. Not saying he has happy feet but some kids give up on a play to quick sometimes cause they staring at one guy.
Not supposedly, he is a film junky. I was told that when he 1st got to UM. No partying, No social media...very Dorsey-ish in that regard.Williams is supposedly a film junky and he’s got better arm talent than anticipated. We got a good one. Hope for some more blowout wins to get him as many reps as possible.
I just want to see a bit more before I annoint him. He looked promising though so farHe's not though....Kid went through 4 progressions on one play at 19yrs old. I have absolutely no doubt He's the starter next yr.
I feel like we need a portal qb for depth but Williams has a bright future. Not supposedly, he is a film junky. I was told that when he 1st got to UM. No partying, No social media...very Dorsey-ish in that regard.
18yrs old...and took command of the huddle instantaneously. I have no doubt he'll be the starter. Dawson knows that as well.I just want to see a bit more before I annoint him. He looked promising though so far

I’m all for this kid being the next thing but man we need to plan in advance for it. Cause if he is the starter brown is gone. That leaves Emory and Judd. That’s not good. Need 4 guys in the room. This year we have 3 and that ain’t it man.
But to reiterate. Emory for heisman
