Elephant in the Room.... Kaaya

The one time richt opened the playbook up at 28-21 he went right down the field and made it look stupid easy

Here's to hoping another shhhhhhh happens on Twitter on Saturday night

This.... I also believe the only reason we went vanilla is because we went up 28-7. As soon as they started a comeback, he unleashed what I think we will see an awful lot of. Richt called a good game. I know we all want to see hurry up, all the time, but I firmly believe he is saving a LOT for FSU.

sorry did not realize we only talk about the top ranked Defense and all the defensive stats people keep throwing around when we were playing retards..

I can't take these threads. He hasn't played amazing but he's done what's been asked of him. The guy didn't even throw 100 passes yet and is playing really good. Wait until this week when we throw 40 times win by a few and then everyone is gonna be on his dik again

Let's just ignore that he is on pace to break many passing records and all of his positives.
Let's just focus on what he can't do and what we think are his deficiencies.
That sounds so logical.

I just looked and I see 1 Kaaya thread on the first page and its totally different than this one. I guess I will ask if its ok to post truthful statements from now on. He BTW the defense looks great...

you can see I don't post much on this board.. So if there are a lot of Kaaya threads I do apologize. I just have a tough time jumping on this wagon.. He did look great on two drives. That is great.. But he got hit on one 3rd down when he held the ball for about 5 seconds and could not step up and throw. He then threw in the dirt to Coley on another 3rd down when he was open. This is not a last Saturday thing. Dude can't move out of his own shadow.. And I hear the "he had a high passer rating" he threw 19 times not 48 times like Watson. I do think there is something to the fact that they did not open the playbook Saturday so I'm hoping I have not seen all of Kaaya.

BK's been here 3 years. He's always been a classic drop back passer. Drop back passers need time to throw. None of this should be a surprise to anyone. As a fan, yea, you want to see them chuck it down the field and beat the living snot out of every team. But unfortunately this ain't madden. Its hard to take over a game when they were trying to establish the run time and time again. I understand why Richt called it the way that he did. Do I agree with it, no. The fan in me wants to see us running up the score. The realist in me knows that he was trying to establish he run and burn some clock.

Regardless of that, I don't see why some fans think he played a bad game. Some of you guys make it sound like the threw 6 interceptions ala Ryan Fitzpatrick. BK went 13 for 19 for 241 yards. Thats a 68% completion percentage with 1 touchdown and NO interceptions. If this is a ****** perfomance, I will take it every single week.

When GT scored and he was called upon, he came thru with ease. See that TD drive with passes to AR and the TD to Coley. Like taking candy from a baby.

Take it all in perspective.

His footwork definitely needs improvement, as does every other college quarterback, but by no means is Kaaya "the elephant in the room."

I do agree with everything you posted. And its what I keep turning to. I do not like questioning how he plays. I guess he is just not Dynamic.. But your right when they needed to score they did. enough said... did not realize it was going to **** off the whole board.. Good post from NY CANE... which is what I was looking for someone to say. Everyone else freaked out like I just banged their sister... And to the person that just mentioned he was going to be Jacory's records. That was my point exactly.

Great. Another Kaaya thread.

I have been very excited about this team this year and I'm with all of you that I love this Canes team. And I think they can win the Coastal for sure. BUT.... each week I look to put one bad feeling to rest. Each week I look for some sign that I'm not seeing what I think I'm seeing. I have talked to others and some feel the same way.

So far I don't see the Kaaya that we all were hoping to see. He played great in game one vs. a HS team. Not so good in game 2. Played better in Game 3 but I did have some issues. And I did not think he played well at all vs GT

My issue with Kaaya is he is a Statue back there. He has virtually no mobility in the pocket and does not have the ability to extend plays AT ALL. He has a great arm and is accurate but his footwork in the pocket and his ability to move in the pocket to throw is awful. Go back and look at the first 2 series in the 2nd half when Miami really needed to score vs GT. GT came after him and he could not do a thing. Look at the 2nd half vs FSU last year. They came after him and he could not do a thing. He is deadly when he has time and someone is open but if he does not have someone open on a 3 count.. he is dead in the water.

There was point in the GT game that UM needed the Brad Kaaya that needs to be able to carry a team to put this team on his back. And I did no see it. Thank God for the defense. And its not just the GT game there have been many. See FSU last year when all we needed was one or two first downs.

I hope I'm wrong and we will see this week. FSU loves to come after him. And for all of you who think he is ready for the NFL you are wrong. Notice all the talk about him and the Heisman and where he will go in the draft has stopped. The QB from UNC is getting more publicity on that than he is.

Again I hope I'm wrong but its the one thing that is giving me a not so good feeling.
