Can you shed any light on Ed’s ideal future path? Is he pushing for position coach? Or do you think he’s happy in his role?
He is not in Miami to be a position coach.

How about defensive coordinator will he take it if offerHe is not in Miami to be a position coach.
Non-CubansThats why I still believe his hiring was not a PR move.
All season long if you watched him and noticed he was watching the defense closely and jotting down notes on the sideline. He used this season IMO to observe and then make his recommendations.
Side note: @Hstokes1447 any cigars you recommend
Ummmm..... attention ***** much ?????
That seems like apathy and lack of want to by the defensive staff. You’ve got a hall of famer in the building and you don’t talk to him?! You don’t ask for input? As some here may know Ed, is a good friend of mine. When he is home in Atlanta we often hang out smoke cigars and talk Canes. Back in November we were having a conversation about the team (most I will keep to myself), here is the one thing I will share from Ed’s exact words
“Manny’s boys are the problem, I have 3 championship defensive playbooks in my office and not one member of the defensive staff has every asked me a question about defense, but the offensive coaches are in my office everyday”
He was deeply concerned about how bad the defensive coaching was and told me how he would regularly meet with the AD about fixing the coaching on that side of the ball. Today’s hire is a step in the right direction. Hopefully T-Rob takes full advantage of being on the same staff as the best safety of all time.

It's easy when your boy is the HC and he thinks he is the smartest person in the room. It’s hard to believe that our defensive staff was that incompetent.
how do you not seek advice from a legend?
At the least I assume Manny is listening to Ed right? Hence the staff changes. It's easy when your boy is the HC and he thinks he is the smartest person in the room.

how many years as he called plays as a DC? come on man . . .Hypothetical question if ed Reed was offered the dc position would he take it.i think with how smart of a player he was and a film junkie he would kill it.just like joe Brady did at lsu with very little prior coaching experience
since birth.I believe it.
Ed Reed could show up to Miami one day out of every year for all I care...that man being employed with miami he will NEVER settle for bull****. Winning has been ingrained into his DNAfor 2 ******* decades
MUCH more. All that PR move nonsense needs to die. It’s not trueEd had more of a role in these firings than most think.
Information is always appreciated good sir.I promise I don't need the attention brother. Just wanted to pass along a little info.
Big dawg we have had this nerds at miami like baker, diaz, banda, patke either dc or co dc that didnt even play peewee football or won any type of championships as players or coaches, calling plays.reeds won national championships and superbowls the mans a proven winner that alone should more qualified than the 4 proven losers i mentioned.how many years as he called plays as a DC? come on man . . .
