Early Clemson prediction

He threw 1 pick last week on an insanely good play by a senior backer. And the ball wasn't even going to 7, would ya believe that?! The pick was inexcusable and killed us, but overall he played very well.

GT was another story, but somehow we won the game. Until our coach decided we shouldn't.

I’m not dumping on TVD. He makes some insane throws and he’s allowed Miami to win more games than lose when he’s healthy.

Buuuuuuutttt

He and Dawson have to be self aware enough to know what defenses are trying to force them to do, and have a much better counter measure compared to 14 passes for 90 yards to XR. They are too predictable right now

UVA is awful
Louisville isn't good, just got smoked by terrible Pitt team playing it's backup QB. They beat ND but ND played B2B road games and played Ohio State and Duke, rough schedule
NC State is also terrible, their offense is similar to our's last year, defense very overrated
BC is also terrible

If Mario can't win these games he never will do crap here

The only "good" teams left on our schedule are Clemson and FSU

Clemson is similar to A&M, with a worse QB
I did some quick research and have watched all of them in spurts before I posted and don't dispute AT ALL.

I defer to your having done more thorough research and agree with your final points - and still stand by my take.

I think Mario and the team can and will find ways to lose to ANY of these teams down the stretch, but may look dominant in any one or more of the lessers mentioned..

We get a real spiral going after Clemson and who knows how bad it can get?

We win Clemson, then there's a reset.

I just think based on what we've seen so far, Clemson absolutely beats us.

I have watch significant amounts of them this year and I don't think we match up nearly as well as people are hoping.

Ga Tech wasn't "good" how did that turn out. Hope the players haven't checked out mentally after the UNC game.

Clemson defense is better than tamu. Tamu can’t defend the pass. TVD lit em up. Also they’re well coached and won’t beat themselves. Jimbo is almost Mario level corch status. Tamu win is aging poorly

Tamu win is aging poorly

I think this is a bad take. They lost their starting QB, who was very good, and played #11 Alabama and #17 Tennessee to within one score. Miami beat them better than anyone has this year when they were at full strength. You can s*** on Miami for the last two games and I'll be right there with you but that A&M win was a very good win. It's a shame we wasted the goodwill.

If we are no less than -1 turnovers, then we win. If we're -2 on tunovers, it's anyone's ballgame. -3 on turnovers and that Clemson D seals the game.

I'm sure Mario and crew are pounding ball security this week. Despite my growing cynicism, I do believe we win this game at home if we limit turnovers. Not that anyone cares, but I didn't make a prediction on us winning last week, because I thought we'd lose. When we were up by 3 at halftime, I started having hope... I think we win this week, but conditionally, of course.

UNC very well might be a playoff team (they might not lose a game until postseason) and we were leading them at their place at half time, with a generational QB and WR.

Get a hold of the ball security issue, throw to the TE at least 5 times, have Bain continue to develop into a Frosh AA and yeah, I think we beat Clemson, but only if we are even in TO ratio or only down by one.

I think Miami gets the win in a sort of low-scoring game. Run the ball, control the clock, don't lose the turnover battle in an embarrassing manner and escape with a 27-23 type of win.

I just feel like Clemson will
Stuff our run, TVD will get pressure force something as Clemson defense allows no easy catches. May hit something down field.

On defense we will play solid, but Clemson will do enough to get a 24-13 type win. We may score a late garbage TD 24-20.

Toss up IMO. UNC seems way more dynamic than Clemson... albeit Clemson still has dudes. Any info on Mesidor?

It’s really not.

Any defense from GT forward will just play zone until the clock strikes zero. You’d have to be a moron not to. I couldn’t believe Cheezdick was getting aggressive in the second quarter and Miami burned him for 2 TD’s and almost had a third.

Second half? All zone.

Physicality doesn’t matter when your QB doesn’t read the defense.

Agree with a lot of this, but if our RB doesn't fumble the ball at the one foot line, that changes the course and complexion of the game. If we stop giving the ball away via turnovers and stupid penalties, we win this game going away.

The assumption here is that the QB can stop.

He can’t, because he doesn’t understand what he’s looking at.

I thought Guidry had a great gameplan for Maye in the first half. The thing I'd criticize Guidry on is the lack of adjustments and by the time mid 3rd qtr rolled around, it was just a snowball and we were gassed.

He should’ve seen it coming though.

They started to get momentum before half time running the ball.

Same pin and pull scheme that FSU runs. I hadn’t seeN UNC run that before the second quarter of this game.

/I don’t watch a ton of their games, so I may be wrong.
