You're assuming he wanted to be a TE. Sometimes players need to see the writing on the wall regarding actual playing time for them to be willing to move.

I said this when he signed here, but why should he be furious, he was already hurt one year, so he has time to grow into that position, this is the best thing for em, and itll help us out at tightend in the long run, cause imagine will mallory redshirting, he'd be much better off, he's just not physically ready yet to be on the line of scrimmage, and cant physically get to the right spots yet in his routes, a redshirt like gaynor took would suit him perfectly!
