2023 Dwight Bootle, 2023 CB, Miami Killian High

I’ve never seen him play actual football but I’ve seen him train and I can tell you he’s got excellent technique in re-routing receivers and in coverage. I think he’s a very good player and likely the kind of kid you look back on in a couple of years and say “why didn’t we recruit him?” Sort of like a DB version of Elijah Moore or Zay Flowers.

Best DB in Dade. I think size is scaring teams off as he still looks to be 5'9-5'10 but he's a dog. Locked up forum favorite Hykeem in December. Michigan is all over him & pushing for a commitment. I think we should take a Dade DB every class & if Jalen Brown is hellbent on playing receiver (bad choice) we should take this kid

His older brother is on the Chiefs active roster & led the team in tackles against Pittsburgh week 16.

If we take one...At this time it looks like Bootle, Robinson, Adkins vying for it?

I want to put y'all on before he blows up! Listed at 5'11 170 but looks about 5'10 160 in person. His older brother Dicaprio just wrapped up his career at Nebraska, where he was 2x all-conference, led the Big Ten in pass breakups in 2018 & has been top 10 in the country in forced incompletion % each of the last 3 seasons according to PFF.

When I watched Dwight in person this season, his footwork, cover skills and technique impressed me. His speed looks to be good enough, I'd say in the 4.5-4.6 range if I had to guess. He played in a secondary with two 5 stars & four D1 DBs and looked like the best player at times. He had some snaps against Romello Brinson when they played MNW & held his own. He stuck Andy Jean, 2023 WR with UGA & UM offers, and shut him down. He has no offers but Cooney coached his brother at Southridge and I'm sure has a good relationship with the family.

He ain't 5'10 or 5'11, 5'7 to 5'9 seems more accurate.

At CB I’d like to see us get 3 guys in 23. 2 of the 3 between Bootle, Robinson and Damari Brown. Then go all out and throw whatever NIL deal it takes to get Cormani McClain.
