DT Jarquez Carter commits to Miami

My argument isn't Simpson for Carter, that's a fair and good trade. My argument was for Brewu instead.
Look Blount is better than Brewu. We have our top 3 in the DT rotation. Carter and Stancil will compete for DT 4. Blount will probably play both, and maybe a bit undersized to be a pure DT, but is Brewu even bigger or more athletic? Doubt it

THE critical add is SDE. That’s what it is.

Blay , Moten and Scott didn’t pile up snaps as a fr. You know why ? It’s not common.
I’m confused, did I say it was? My point was more that I don’t know how many teams these days are rolling out a 4 deep at DT of guys that have played a bunch of snaps.

Again, I’m saying in response to that it didn’t matter that Moten didn’t do much last year and it worked out amazing this year right?

I’m counterpointing your argument with a fact as recent as this year.

Again, missing the point. Brewu is proven. He would have given us 4 proven DTs next year.

With Carter it's all hope right now. That is also a fact.

I love Blount, but as of now he has not proven he is better at DT than Brewu.

Point remains, Brewu would have given us a great, productive 2 deep.

I had such high hopes for Jones. Thought he was going to be what Moten became.

Moten might be the player im most excited to see play next year. The guy is a force!
Jones was one of the more physically talented kids in recent years at DT but he was incredibly raw. Raw technique and fundamentals will get you washed every play, especially on doubles. He's only a redshirt freshman so let's see how he develops in his 3rd year in the program.

And again you are wrong

If you want to say you think Brewu may be a safer bet, ok that's your opinion and I see the logic. But again we don't know that

Based on actual results, yes we do know that. Are you a ND fan? Love your hypotheticals. Lol

Again, Brewu wasn’t even the top player on his defense and I will bet you right now that even as a rotational player Carter will have as many or more sacks than your HOF player Brewu did this past season. Just taking guys because they had snaps in a defense that got curb stomped constantly doesn’t make that person the better player right now or in 2 years.

Want to wager your CIS name for it? I get to change yours if I’m right and you can change mine if I’m wrong.

Because actual results aren't the only way to predict future production…And Brewu is a decent player, he is a dominant player by any means

Hope he makes that leap!

Got you. So outside of the top 3 you have a combined 1 tackle and 50 career snaps from 1 guy. You're right.

Top 3 is very good. Beyond, it's all unknown with no experience.
Well, considering we have a DT coach who has immediately made a difference and developed every kid he inherited I am giving him benefit of the doubt to churn out a contributor or two outside of those top 3.

Who cares if he was the top player on his D? Are you a tard?

Brewu had 38 tackles at DT in 11 games this past year. That is 11 more than Blay who leads our team in tackles from DT and he has played 12 games.

Carter had 1 ******* tackle! Yes, you are a tard.
