Drake Maye vs Miami Defense

So far this season, Maye has been outstanding passing wise. He has one game under 300 yards passing (GA State) and one game where he threw less than 3 TDs . Also GA State *** Correction FAMU he threw 294***

He is 115/165 with 19 TD's and 1 INT. Completion percentage of 69.7%. Avg yards per 9.7 per pass.

He also has 255 rush yards and is athletic enough to hurt you if you don't keep contain.






Defense has allowed 1,004 yards this season thru the air. 6 passing TDs. We are averaging 17.93 yards a completion (A lot of that is from the bombs we allowed MTSU to complete). Average yards per game is 251.

BCC- 249 yards 1TD
Southern Miss - 207yards 1 TD
Texas A&M- 140 1 TD
MTSU- 408 3 TDs


Obviously best QB and WR group we've faced thus far and maybe all season.

Stats say were aren't that bad against the pass. Eyeballs say a different story.

Miami DL has to win up front.

Limit the run game, and get pressure on Maye while maintaining rush lane discipline.

I would play softer on back end, protect the CB's.

On offense the 16 play 7 minutes drives would actually serve Miami well in this game to keep Maye and that offense on sideline.

If they win this week UNC has a very favorable schedule the rest of the way. An away game at Wake is the only real obstacle. Then again, we know how the Coastal is.
