I never blame a kicker for missing a kick. You should never be in a position where the placekicker determines the outcome of a game (at least you should make every effort to avoid being in that situation).

Baxa needs to play as well this season as he has in the past. He was never great, but he was good enough. I get that UNC got a great push on those blocked kicks, but he's gotta focus on what he can control and ignore what he can't. At the end of the day, the blame falls on the kicker and not the supporting cast.

If he refuses to hire a real coach, maybe Manny should call someone to come help during the week. Huerta or someone has to be available for a few hours once or twice a week. On top of that Baxa really needs to see one of those sports psychologists.
 
Baxa missed one maybe two extra points last year. The kid is a flop cut your losses put a ad in the Miami Herald. IN NEED OF A COLLEGE KICKER FAST !

I’m not sure why Diaz doesn’t coach it himself. Teams with phenomenal STs often have head coaches doing it themselves. Make it a badge of honor to be on STs- block a kick or punt, return one back, stop a fake punt.

Baxa isn’t very good. There is coaching for kickers. Kid needs help. These misses are costing us games. 19 points in 2 games. 10 in game 1, and 9 yesterday- 2 missed FGs, 1 XP, and 2 on the 2-point conversion that Jarren should have ran in himself.

It’s a massive problem and absolutely killing a young team looking to find its stride.

Spot on. If Manny truly is letting Baker run the D then go own special teams. Baxa aside, we're basically only Hedley being competent away from ALL of special teams being a ****show....again.

I absolutely agree that it's complete garbage for any adult or even fellow student to be threatening the kid but those that are soooooo quick to publicize and cry about it on social media are basically only virtue signaling.

Let's be honest, there's probably not another "big time" program where a kid in Baxa's spot this week could almost very easily avoid this trash. Just stay off social media for a week, kid. You'll essentially go completely unbothered on campus and in Miami. You couldn't say the same about 1000 other schools- especially those in college towns.

Seen enough. There has got to be another option either a walk-on or someone in the student body that can kick better than Baxa. He's costing us big time. He's the new Feegles.
