Dmoney explain yourself

****, hard for me to top that one. That was a great answer LOL.

For me though, it's always fsu over uf. I'm not allowed to root for uf, in anything, ever.

I was brainwashed from literal birth that it's anyone/everyone, ever, no matter what, over uf.
Same here... EXCEPT if it's a rare situation where uf winning would stop fsu from something significant such as going to a bowl, playoffs or from having an undefeated season.

Now in a super rare occurrence where both teams might be in these situations.... yeah it's always fsu over uf.

Well, at least Pete is a Cane, right? Thought of relying on D$ - an old Gator - for Canes insight is troubling. Lol

Got a state scholarship to Florida. Hated the Gators the whole time and never missed a home game in the OB. And this was 03-07, so it was a tough time for the good guys.
My brother went to Florida from 97 to 01.... Just missed ya... lol

My first game was 1996 FSU. I wasn’t even a football fan but people on my floor of Mahoney peer pressured me.
Game sucked. We lost. A rain storm drenched us waiting for the Metro Bus.
Hated FSU ever since.
The students hated Butch.

Not everyone can afford private school Clarence.

Grew up in sofla and was a huge Canes fan in the 80s and 90s. I got into UF, USC in Los Angeles, Miami in 98. No scholarship to USC or UM so my parents made me go to UF as it was cheap being a FL resident. I grew up hating the Gayturds and wasn’t happy about it at all. Hated Gainesville and was miserable there but got a 3.94 GPA freshman year and made a deal with my parents that if I was unhappy there I could transfer after year 1. Got into USC and UM as a transfer but with no scholarship from SC and a 50% scholarship from The U. Transferred to UM from 99-02 and had the three best years of my life! Little did I know I’d be there for one of the greatest college football dynasties ever. Absolutely incredible experience. I would love for my 7 year old son to go to The U for college as well if he can attain a scholarship too 🤞🏻

I went to fsu, every dollar paid for.

Only ever wore one piece of fsu apparel ever, for one day my girlfriend at the time, now wife, made a bet that I lost and I made her take me to the garnet and gold store and bought the literal cheapest T-shirt in the store. Never wore it again.
You reek

I bet there are a lot of UM grads that grew up and still are fans of other programs.
Most people don’t change their love for their home town team because they got the opportunity to go to college somewhere else.

I got my degree by taking college classes through the military’s contract with U. of Maryland.
I’ve been a Canes fan since I was 14 because I grew up in SFLA. Same reason I was a Dolphins fan since age 8, despite living in Cleveland from age 8-16, but returned to SFLA from 16 to 38, other than my military years.

I did become an Indians fan because SFLA didn’t have a MLB team and never became a Braves fan unlike most people from WPB my age, despite spring training being a couple miles from my house. When the Marlins came along, I tried but couldn’t switch.

Loyalty is a funny thing.
There are a lot of UM football/Duke basketball/Yankees fans out there.

Central Gulf coast and Space coast of FL were and are infested with Noles and Gators.. like sharks to blood they scour the rivers and beaches looking to prey on unsuspecting people who haven't found their fandom.. I refused to be deceived by these clowns, followed my heart to the guys wearing Orange and Green and dominating specifically Dorsey, Edge, Morgan, Najeh, pulled me in.

I'm lucky to have made it out alive at such a young impressionable age
No lies here ^^. I grew up in Brevard county and almost everyone was a Gator fan and most of our top athletes went to UF or FSU. I know it sounds weird but I saw UM lose to FAMU on tv in the late 70's and decided to become a fan.

Hey Eye:
didn't you love the A/C in Mahoney. We paid all those $$$$'s and that place was marginally cool at best......**** though... for parties and those breezeways......**** the stories....fun fun fun.

I Went to bed on the first floor, and a travelling hippie dude jimmied my door and stole my wallet.
I went to all our local haunts looking for that wallet, and nothing. Got a call from the Campus police saying a vagrant living in the stairwell breezeway was trying to use my i.d card on campus and my credit cards.....
They wanted to charge him. and asked me about pressing charges... but I said, the guy is hurting so let him go, but he needs to understand that if he ever shows up again all of that floor will beat his *** and he would be sorry....guy disappeared..end of story, .but lots of stuff went down at Mahoney.

Bruh. Fall of 1996 they started that system of AC that turned off if the motion detectors had 0 movement. Led to a ton of condensation inside to drip on me and anything else under the ceiling units. Moved to Pearson next semester.
