Fair point5 holding penalties affected that number!
no, our dline only manufactured 7 pressures vs stanford olineMensah was probably 7-7 for 250 yards on those pressures
Think this is about our DL.Mensah was probably 7-7 for 250 yards on those pressures
Yeah I read it wrong didn’t realize it was comparing against last years scheduleThink this is about our DL.
I was going to say this… Stanford was doing the same thing Louisville did, but obviously with less talent. They did as much as possible to keep the rush from being a factor. This is a meaningless raw stat.
When teams move the pocket, waggle, and quick pass, a raw pressure data point means next to nothing.
We still need to adjust to it, but the isolated stat doesn't prove much.
Not what I saw. Blount was the best DL on the day. I think he got banged up a bit and didn't play much past the 2nd qtrWilson & Blunt don't move as good as I thought they would. Lightfoot is the best of the 3 & I don't think it's really close.

6 points and we never unleashed the dogs.6 points.
To be fair to the young man, the competition now is a lot tougher from what he’s used to. I’d give him some time to figure it out since not everyone can smoothly make the transition from the SEC to the ACC by game 1.I hope Wilson just decided to work on his bull this game and he doesn’t stick to that all year, running into OT’s and tussling makes the game easy for an OT. Need to be rushing half man and working moves.
