DJ Johnson

His "sick" momma must be resting easy with Junior right in her backyard now. Only a 7+ hour drive back home or a 2 hr drive to Portland for the closest non-stop flight home.....which is another 2 hrs.

That's 7 hours and 13 minutes. Check the map I posted.

He was saying the drive from Eugene to Portland is two hours if he wants to catch a non-stop flight home out of Portland.

He said 7+ hours from Eugene to Sactown. I said, 7 hours and 13 minutes. I was making a joke along with his.

That's without traffic too. Haha.

And stops at pot farms

There is a HUGE difference between playing in the PAC-12 and against west coast schools and west coast offenses than playing against SEC/ACC/B1G O-lineman on a weekly basis. He can build his confidence as he builds his strength/speed/technique and still log more EFFECTIVE reps. I always saw NFL measurables but a 13-year olds face and hoped he would be ready to play for Miami... Oh well.

The right fire gets lit under this kid and he becomes a bigger Takk McKinley. Whether it was DJ or Kul’s fault is irrelevant to me; he frees up a spot that hopefully will be used to get someone Kul trusts and he has the opportunity to play immediately. Even trade.

Did he redshirt this season? Yes or no? Thanks.

No, he played, including the bowl game

2017 (True Freshman): Saw action in eight games...Made career debut in season opener against Bethune-Cookman (Sept. 2)...Saw time against Toledo (Sept. 23) and at Duke (Sept. 29), mostly on special teams...Registered first solo tackle of career at Florida State (Oct. 7)...Saw action against Georgia Tech (Oct. 14) and against Notre Dame (Nov. 11), mostly on special teams...Played in ACC Championship Game against Clemson (Dec. 2)...Saw action in Capital One Orange Bowl against Wisconsin (Dec. 30).

Kid played against weak competition and built his resume on it. Told you from the jump I don't trust Sac kids. There's a reason why we in the Bay distance ourselves from Sac. lol. Saw him play live and it was like watching Cam Newton on that Buick Commercial steam rolling little kids. His school was wack and his comp was wack. You could see how he was looking at Garvin rocking that t.o chain against ND that his days were numbered here.

The Sac kids never match up well against the competition from the Bay...even kids from ****pots like Oakdale would eat them up in Sacto for breakfast.

TBH a lot of the Northern California competition except for De La Salle isn't that good....if we are being completely honest.

But yeah, I'd agree Bay Area competition is much better than Sac as well. Just LA/SD area is much better.

Got beat for his spot by Garvin. Not mad at the kid. He may still become a great player. Wish him the best.

Glad he took off, freed a scholly, let's hope Kool reels in a guy who won't quit.

I live in Sac and you are correct. They still treat onterrio Smith, donte Stallworth.... And to a lesser degree, Rae curruth as legends.... But the bay has way better prospects

Lolol... True. They try to claim Jake browning too... But that's Folsom.

I said the truth would come out when he picked a new school. Truth is he's a lying maggot, who went with the fake sick relative schtick because he wasn't man enough to just say he didn't want to be here anymore.

if that was completely the case I think he would have gone to UW though.
If 100% the reason was family reasons he'd have gone to Cal (didn't have clearance for Stanford)

So actually Oregon is the closest P5 School to Sacramento after Cal (and Stanford). Who knows if he tried to go to Cal or not though.

Oh yeah, you're definitely being honest...but pocket areas in the Bay produce Beast and that's along the lines of De La Salle's division. I know Sac have good areas, as well. The TE Falo played in a solid division. But literally when I went to go see DJ play, I couldn't believe how scrawny the OL he was going against was. At first, I thought I was at the wrong game. lol.

Forgot about Killer Rae being from the Sac area. lol.

Not necessarily as Luigi was probably more willing to cuddle a soft kid and make all kinds of promises than Petersen was. Cristobal is essentially starting off on the hotseat there so it's not necessarily surprising that this soft kid got the feels from whatever warm fuzzies the Oregon staff fed him. Will be hilarious if the real Leavitt demeanor reemerges with this kid though.
