DJ Johnson

Looks like Richt is doing the opposite of building depth -

DE - Joe Jack, Garvin, D Jack, Patchan, Rousseau
DT - Ford, Willis, Bethel, Nesta, Martin

An injury or two and we’re ****ed

wasn't this the kid that went into this long crazy sean taylor video to announce his commitment? really??? one year and you bail.

The gap between us and elite continues to widen

This is the unfortunate reality.

If you can't fill out a roster then you can't get to the next level. It's the most basic thing in the world.

I'm not blaming Richt for this. It's been part of the culture for a long, long time and he has his work cut out for him trying to change it.

Kid wants to be closer to home. It’s far away and he couldn’t handle it. Probably should do a better job of qualifying kids from so far away.

It's whatever. Got to make it up on the trail. Was looking forward to the type of speed him and garvin would bring off the edge in the coming years.

Leaves the team and skips a game during the season. Starts following coaches from another team that he nearly flipped to. Nah. Nothing to see here.

I don’t know what we’re losing because he didn’t do anything here. So if we replace him with another guy with good potential then it’s a draw really. I can’t get too worked up over losing a guy who did nothing and is likely softer than puppy diarrhea based on his actions. Just replace him with another guy with talent who wants to be here.

It’s funny that y’all blame the staff cause DJ wants to leave and so does RJ/Norton. I understand trying to be ahead of your numbers but it’s hard to recruit when on paper your are loaded correctly. It’s hard to predict kids quitting and leaving early.

Then you need to over do it to account for the unexpected, instead of leaving yourself short and scrambling. Richt should know these things.

So if it was already decided that he was transferring then why was he dressed, doing warm up drills, and in the lineup for orange bowl?

With that depth chart, we're f@cked anyway

Real talk, this **** is concerning. We are looking down the barrel of having a grand total of 7 scholarship D-linemen if McIntosh and Norton go pro

DE
D Jackson
Joe Jackson
Garvin
Rousseau

DT
Bethel
Ford
Martin

I'm not counting Silvera until he actually signs and I'm not counting Willis until he shows up day 1 in august. Even if we move Patchan back to end, that leaves us with 5 DE, 1 being a true freshman tweener and one being a guy that converted to TE. Our DT depth would barely fill out a 2 deep. **** has me shook. WTF is going on. I think this puts us at like 75 total scholarship players for 2018 as of today. We aren't finding 10 more players before NSD - ****'s like we are still on probation.

Willis

Wanted to be a Cane, but didn't have what it took.

The talent is there and he was gonna get an opportunity this year. I don't understand the rationale, like Joe Yearby last year. If he's ****y and home-sick because he couldn't understand Chad and Trent were better suited to play as Seniors we're better off without him even if it significantly hurts depth.
