DJ Johnson

He was the signature recruit from the 2017 class, the kid everyone wanted, and now he's gone.

We've had an ASTOUNDING amount of turnover recently, and it hasn't been all Golden recruits.

I don't think he was the signature recruit of the class. They say he had more offers than anyone else in the country, and yet, he wasn't anywhere near the highest rated recruit in the country. That never added up to me.

Having said that, it hurts the team for him to leave.

Between guys transferring out and bailing early along with the fact that the roster wasn't full to begin with the Canes are gonna have about 50 dudes on the team by fall. This is ridiculous. Nobody can win with that.

Makes us not offering Jalen Phillips look foolish. Kid wanted to be a cane but we had DJ in the bag to we didn’t offer. FML.

All I know Since Richt has been here there has been a lot of “transfers” and there will still be more . It looks bad from the outside looking in but most are because of playing time
.
All of them except for DJ “i love sean taylor” johnson are kids who had no business with a scholarship here.

No most are because they were not good.

True, I do Hate losing d Owens and dj johnson(has potential to be good but didn’t show anything this year really)

Owens didn’t have business being here?

When this kid showed up to paradise camp two years ago and didn’t compete I thought from then on that he wouldn’t last

The former canes that came that day were even questioning his competitiveness due to him sitting it out

top 5 d-line in the country this year and you didn't play as a true freshmen... anyone who cant handle that, there's the door

Yet dudes flock left and right to sit at Bama, Clemson, Ohio St and the other tops schools. Then on top of that we have one DL currently committed and two DL heading to the draft

Real talk, this **** is concerning. We are looking down the barrel of having a grand total of 7 scholarship D-linemen if McIntosh and Norton go pro

DE
D Jackson
Joe Jackson
Garvin
Rousseau

DT
Bethel
Ford
Martin

I'm not counting Silvera until he actually signs and I'm not counting Willis until he shows up day 1 in august. Even if we move Patchan back to end, that leaves us with 5 DE, 1 being a true freshman tweener and one being a guy that converted to TE. Our DT depth would barely fill out a 2 deep. **** has me shook. WTF is going on. I think this puts us at like 75 total scholarship players for 2018 as of today. We aren't finding 10 more players before NSD - ****'s like we are still on probation.

I knew when he didn't compete at paradise camp that he was soft. Anyone leaving UM when the program is at the highest level in 15 years is brain dead. There's no doubt he would have played in 2018 but you can tell this kid was soft minded and won't be missed.

It’s a horrific scenario.

We’d be in deep trouble.
