Dixon is #1 WR Target

I like Berrios and think he can be a very good college player.

Rudolph I believe has real pro potential however.

I'm not sure Dixon is that great. I'd rank Rudolph 1, Berrios and Dixon 2a and 2b.

we don't need pros. we need good college players.

it sounds selfish, but if I had to pick between players having a better collegiate or professional career, I would prefer players to have a better college career.

\but of course I want Miami athletes to succeed everywhere.

Usually your pros on your team are pretty good college players...

From what i have gathered over the last week or so i think the coaches or going after dixon hard now because right now they may feel they have a better shot than lane. However i think they may wait untill this big lane to uf mess dies down maybe after he commits to them because players won't be recruiting him as hard then and i think they are going to put the full court press on him like they did coley last year. I highly doubt rudolph recomitts to miami.

I believe it was JHall that said this another thread and I agree with him. The longer Dixon's recruitment is, the more worried I get about him not being in this class.

We can't afford to lose him, Rudolph and Lane. That'd be a major fail. Even if we are stacked right now at WR, gotta keep building depth.

Nothing to be worried about. The only thing that makes anybody worried is because so many guys have committed so far but this is normal with a top recruit to take his time to be sure

  • Says there's a lot of communication with Miami
  • Says he's tight with Miami
  • Says Miami told him he's their #1 WR right now
  • Says Miami wants him to end his recruiting process
  • Thinks Miami has been pretty honest with him but has heard the same from other schools
  • Says he sees Miami's recruiting is falling into place
  • Says he has a pretty good relationship with Brad Kaaya
  • Says Kaaya comes at him as a friend and doesn't overwhelm him with recruiting stuff
  • Ohio St., Miami, and Alabama are on top
  • A win/loss record isn't important, but he wants to see the ball flying around on Saturdays

Everything reads UM to me

It would be great to land a kid from Dwyer. If Dixon is successful here, it opens up a lot of options for the future!

My preference (not order of how great I think each is):
1. Dixon
2. Randolph
3. Lane/Berrios

All these names have reminded me that in a few years we could have Coley, Langham, and Griffin on the field in the red zone. Add in Dobard at TE and we can throw jump balls for days.

Coley will hopefully be a stud...moments of lacking motivation during high school but hopefully not at the college level
Langham is an unknown, project.
Griffin, really hoping he gets in December-if not ouch

Our WR corp will be thin in 2 years and that will be a problem, especially if Kaaya or Olsen takes control of the offense needing a go to WR . Miami has to get two more WR in this class IMO. Gotta have stud WR's competing amoungst eachother to get better or our runningbacks and offensive line will see help from opposing linebackers.

I like both TR and Lane more than Dixon, but Dixon is still a stud regardless. I think Langham will end up the beast of the class though, plus Coley plus hopefully Griffin will make us quickly forget both TR and Lane if we miss on them.
