I'll believe we're getting a Dwyer kid as soon as he runs out of the tunnel and through the smoke for his 1st game.

Has to mean good things, right?

Wait this is recruiting, who knows what it means.
 
I hope Dixon and Moten commit before the season starts, or better yet, right after the first game. How bout that... Blow out FAU and then get verbals from those two. Nice start to the season, eh?

I would like them to commit before the season or after we beat Florida. This would be icing on the cake for a great weekend.

I'm guessing the BBQ solidified our lead over Alabama, which is great because their was reports that he was strongly considering them.

  • Says the visit was great
  • Duke Johnson, Malcolm Lewis, and Stacy Coley all talked with Dixon
  • Commits Kc McDermott, Joseph Yearby, and Nigel Bethel were recruiting Dixon
  • Left early because his mom had a softball game
  • Says his mom will play a big part in his decision
  • Plans on being an EE, hopes to have a decision by January
  • Will be visiting Alabama for the LSU game, and OVs to Arkansas, Ohio St., and NC St.
  • Says he doesn't have to visit Miami since he's already comfortable with it
  • Will be at the Miami/FAU game but will be out of town for the Miami/Florida game
  • Dixon and Dwyer host Miami Central in a preseason game on Saturday

Sucks he's coming to the FAU game and not UF. But at least he is visiting. If we lose him it's not because of a lack of effort by the staff.
 
Our one saving grace could be the mom. She seems to really like us. But the same was said about MT6 too. His mom was decked out in UM gear at one game I saw her at. So we will have to sweat this one out until the very end. ESPECIALLY after he comes back from that ALA/LSU game. Smh.
 
With or without him 2014 class is looking great, especially if Griffin makes it in January. Morris should light it up this year and with Olsen and Kaaya on the ramp next year to fight with Williams and Cow, a lot of WR will be interested in THE U. WR can come in and play as freshmen a lot easier than other positions. Another stud DT would excite me more. If there is another big get on the O, I vote for Fournette. Sure it is a pipe dream but if he take OV here you never know. Our O is looking very good the next couple years, but he is one recruit that could jacked it unstopable level. Imagine Duke, Yearby and Leonard together for at least one year. Scary. Other than him, every one else is just some more icing on the cake. Staff kicked it this year.

gotta contuinue to recruit the hec k out of this kid. He initially isnt a cane fan...maybe his family is but earlier this year he specifically stated his uf affinity. But iu see weve turned the tide...but if his head coach has any input we're in trouble, i'll continue to recruit the kid like were in the hole...even if we are a known leader. I like how Kayaa, Mcdermott, and the guys are all recruiting him. **** send Langham over their to Rawvera Beach after him.

Would love to have this as my wr class if possible:

Travis Rudolph...(Dixon's friend forever) were behind the 8ball their as decommitts rarely come back
Darrell Langham....Locked in big wr.
Johnie Dixon...slot outside guy..
Braxton Berrios...slot guy.

Not worrying about the logjam @ wr...as one out of this group will force a guy to transfer to be honest...and i dont expect to sign all 4 anyway...the longer Berrios waits his *** is grass...to be honest Brandon Powell imo replaced/or could replace himw ith the quickness.
 
The longer Berrios waits the less likely I think he comes. If we can get Rudolph here on an OV with his dad too then I think our chances can increase. But I agree with you. DGriffin comes back and all bets are off with me. He is the one we want to make sure ends up in this class. Dixon would be gravy.

I doubt it.... this WR class, regardless who commits, really should be the year that ALL of them redshirt except maybe 1.... and the only one I think who shouldnt have to redshirt b/c of his skillset is Derrick Griffin.

.... Jontavious Carter and D'mauri Jones can be impact players imo.
