Dingle is a kid that has size, athleticism and decent speed and wants to play here. Would be foolish to pass him up at this point. Heck, look at Jarvis Landry and what he has contributed versus his combine 40.

He already has 820 yards this year and 1,157 last year, as a rookie over 750 yards. Where are all the speed burners from that year of the draft?

He ran that 4.85 2 years ago at the 2/28/2015 Miami Nike Combine.

As I have posted many time players often 35% or more particularly skilled players will NOT run at these combines for fear of a bad time. Sometimes sprinters in HS with 11.1 or lower times often turn in 4.7s or worse. Daniel Wright the very fast Safety recorded a 4.71 at the Nike this past year and he is a national elite HS 200m and 400m sprinter.

Second Dingle was in 10th grade and still developing speed wise

Here is the post from months back I believe by 1953 or CChigh----On how sprinters and top athletes often do poorly at the Nike Combines 40s and why may will not run it there.

Remember Dingle was a sophomore when he ran. Many of these guys below were juniors

He can catch the ball with people on him . He's. take I don't care what people say

He does not have the "blow the top of the coverage speed" but he can take a short pass and run with it for good yardage. He tracks the ball well in the air, times his jump to the ball well and is a strong physical blocker. When compared to the DBs he looks a full 6-2 and at least 200.

I'm sick and tired of people comparing electronic timed 40's against hand timed. Electronic timing adds a tenth or more (often 2 tenths) to a kids 40 time. Dingle is super productive in Dade County. Total take to me. He makes tough catches in traffic. Enough for me.

Kevaughn Dingle came up with a key play in Carol City’s state championship.

and it wasn’t easy.

Dingle, a Miami commit, flipped his way into the end zone for a successful two-point conversion for the Chiefs’ final two points in a 14-6 win over Lake Gibson in the 6A title game on Saturday night.

“I aint going to lie, I knew we were in a situation so the only thing I’m thinking is, ‘I’ve got to get into the end zone’ and I got in,” Dingle said. “I didn’t know if I scored or not, but I just saw everybody run to me so I guess I got in.”

It was an impressive acrobatic play by Dingle who leaped from a few yards out, took a hit, and flipped in for the score to put Carol City ahead 14-0 early in the fourth quarter.

A crowd of 6,715, with more than half being Carol City supporters, saw the Chiefs when their fifth state championship and first since 2003.

“It’s a blessing,” Dingle said. “We haven’t been here in a long time and I had never been here. This was the biggest game of my life and I made it happen. Thank God and give all the glory to God. Now I’m on to the next chapter.”

Dingle caught three passes for 14 yards, including an impressive 12-yard grab over the middle with two defenders on him, in addition to the two-point conversion.

With his senior season over, the four-star wide receiver according to 247Sports will turn his focus to recruiting.

Dingle plans on taking five official visits next month to Kentucky, Illinois, N.C. State, Louisville, and Miami.

“I’m still focused on the season, but now that it’s over with I’m going to clear up this happiness and then I’m going to go to the next chapter,” Dingle said.

Miami wide receivers coach Ron Dugans was not in attendance for the game, but did message Dingle after the game.

“I just talked to them matter of fact,” Dingle said. “It was coach Dugans, so we’ve been in contact lately.”
