Did you know...

Sure but with the "math" both ways you cannot state with any certainty that the majority are guilty as you are.

So you believe the majority of people charged with crimes that accept pleas are innocent? Really?

My opinion is irrelevant because it's that, an opinion. Far too often people throw around opinions as fact as you are here.

To presume most of those people are innocent when they literally signed away their presumption innocence is plain foolish i'll leave it at that.

Like I said if they have video of them carrying the girl to their dorm that's some pretty significant evidence that they were doing some things wrong.

Not buying it? How about climate change then? That seems to be causing all sorts of things.

The simple fact is is that some people are willing to excuse any transgression as long as the perpetrator is on the right side. Oh, and there's a segment of the population who take "Devil's Advocate" as a default approach.
Climate change? Are you serious???

It's Russians.

I haven’t dismissed anything. To the contrary, too many folks here seem to think a plea is proof of guilt, as opposed to proof of the vast coercive power of the state. Anyone who is honest and knowledgeable should know at this point that prosecutors can indict a ham sandwich, as someone famous once said, and can coerce plea deals in the face of egregious threats of decades of torture. When the saudis or Iranians coerce confessions our media condemns them, but it goes on every day in this country with no interest from our political elites.
They were even able to do it to Gen. Flynn. Threatened to charge his son. They,'re ratcheting up the pressure on that actress, Lori Loughner, or whatever her name is. She could plead to get like three months, but now they're charging her with something that could get four years. She really--naively-- thinks she really didn't do something wrong. She's in for a real shock.

They can always take testimony and force you into an honest *****-up where you forget what you said before and you've got a false statement prosecution.

Yep.

Actually, Eddie Johns, our starting QB in 1960, could qualify for that designation. What happened to him was not something he caused himself.
Then thats truly a tragedy....But what I saw Freddie Miles do in HS in the late 70s...Is something I still haven't seen since...and I've seen alot of Great HS RBs since the 70s play live....
Emmitt
Rufus
Marquette Smith
Gore
Bobby Washington
Busta Rhymes etc....None of them where better in my opinion...

It's a Tragedy in itself that alot of todays kids didnt see Freddie (#13) play....He was ranked over Bo Jackson...Hershel Walker...and Marcus Dupree in 1979....Thats how good he was...

Soooooo....back to Eddie Johnson.

Turns out he was still playing ball as of last year.

Where?

In Russia!

You know what? Good for him. If someone is willing to pay him to play and he gets to see the world then it beats a lot of other alternatives. Just don't let him anywhere near the 2020 Presidential Election.

it’s a pointless question. The majority of people who are offered a ‘your money or your life’ threat choose to give over their money. And rightfully so. Freedom is more important. Likewise, the majority of people who are offered a short plea deal or risk facing decades in a rape cage, end up choosing more freedom. We’ll never know who is innocent, because 90+% of cases plead out, because the cards are stacked that way.

I am better for now knowing this.

Thank you.

Did Jawand Blue ever win his case against UM?
