You may know here. I don’t claim to. Just addressing the loose comments to the effect that pleas prove guilt. Not true at all.

And our criminal justice system falls well short of the values and principles this country purports to hold dear.

No justice system is perfect or even close to perfect but everyone has their to fight in court. If you choose to waive your rights and plea that's your CHOICE. Stop making people look like victims of their own choices. They CHOSE to carry a passed out UNDERAGE girl to a bedroom they CHOSE to plea and not have the evidence against them played out in front of a jury.

You have to fight for yourself and your loved ones in every aspect of life. Laying down is CHOICE. Fighting is a CHOICE.

I know one MFing thing...If I'm accused of Rape...and I KNOW that I didn't do it...No F-ing chance in **** I'm not fighting it till the day I die.....NONE...but thats just me....

on top of this, we have to stop thinking CFB athletes dont have more access to competent legal rep than others in a similar situation. Walton used Cook's lawyer, who isn't some random PD (friend of a friend). I'm not sure who these guys used, but im just speaking in general.

‘Your money or your life’ is a choice, too. But it aint right, or just. Plead guilty or risk spending decades in a rape cage is not a ‘choice’ in any meaningful sense.

Dont get me wrong. There are plenty of bad, guilty people in jail. But also plenty of people who got coerced by the machinery of our ‘justice’ system. What’s notable, in my view, is how little care or concern most people have for this dynamic.

Maybe you would, but I believe you are deluding yourself. Once the situation involves college athletes, drinking, group *** and late night etc., there aint no risking a guilty verdict.

No Fs given in ref to "Plead Guilty or risk spending yrs in Jail"....If my *** is accused of something as heinous as Rape...and I am wrongfully accused, CaneinOrlando is fighting it till the end of time....

Like mike tyson said, everyone talks big til they get popped in the mouf. In this case, it’s easy for you to say what you’re saying. But risking your life in jail when you can take a plea and get a far better outcome is not something most sane people would do. If anything, being wrongly accused just clarifies the benefit of the plea. Spending your life in a rape cage for something you didnt do is an awful thing to be forced to consider.

Don't put words in my mouth with Mike Tyson quotes....Theres No F-ing way on Gods green earth that I'd EVER plead guilty to a Rape charge I didn't commit....Absolutely NO chance in ****...EVEN if by pleading Guilty I'd get a slap on the wrist....No way in this Universe is CaneinOrlando walking around the rest of my life, with that type of stigma on my back....

The majority of people will never care that someone CHOSE to take a plea. If you won't fight for your own innocence why should anyone else fight or for you?

The right to choose and the right to fight are the only true things you're guaranteed. A guarantee of fairness is an impossible feat the human race is not capable of.

Never forfeit your only true rights.
 
Maybe don't have *** with someone so intoxicated, you have to carry them to their room. Easy way to avoid the whole situation.

This is a naive perspective rooted in privilege. The people ground up by our criminal justice system are almost all poor, poorly educated, poorly represented, and confronted with a brutally coercive choice with no right answers. Bet your life on a system that you KNOW is stacked against you, represented by a lawyer who gives no ***** about you, against a prosecutor who sees convicting you as both easy and a path to a promotion, or take a deal and move along. Your life and freedom are the most valuable things in the world.

Dont get me wrong, guilty people deserve to be punished and no system is perfect. But our system is too far from the mark, and our elites dont care because they view it as other people’s problem.

You say that, but in the real world, 99.9% of all people would give up their money when told ‘your money or your life.’ It aint much different when it’s ‘plead to a low penalty or risk going all in on a 30 year sentence in a rape cage.’

This whole ‘100% didnt commit’ is also a dumb spin here. These situations involve ***, alcohol and mixed understandings, and emption, stereotypes and misunderstandings. It’s rarely about a 100% mistaken identity.

Sure. But criminal cases include far less intoxicated dynamics also. And you dont know what happened in that room.

Why are guys criminally responsible for drunken *** but not women?
