Possibly ranked a little high... but make no mistake...Dia is very good.

He's savvy, extremely smooth, has really good pocket presence, avoids a lot of sacks, always knows how/where to find his WR's during his scramble and he can hurt you a little bit if he takes off. He also doesn't turn the ball over a lot.

I've coached against him 3 years in a row, and I've coached against Nickel. He's better than Nickel. He's far better at improvising and extending plays when nothing is there.

It's not Dia's arm talent, it's his overall command of the offense.
Nickel greatly improved in this area his senior year, think his playmaking ability is one of his better attributes.

He’s been in the same offense for 3 years.

How many years does he need to be a productive HS quarterback given his physical talent?

Sometimes they just don’t have it. They only have it for the HS level. That’s their peak a lot of the time.

Feel your on this hill alone.. will he run to revisit in a few years and see what happens.
You're right, I am on this hill alone, cause I'm the only one here who's coached against the kid(s). 🤷🏻‍♂️

We can revisit this all you want. We're not talking about college, we're talking about right now.

How are yall gonna disagree with a guy who's game-planned and played against a kid 3 years in a row?

I'm on the hill with you. Bell is very good. One of the smoother QBs I've seen just in terms of actions, always being on balance and staying calm.

OK, then why is he still at Texas? Any legit shot there to play or start? I haven’t been keeping up with the QB backup situation at Texas so I have no idea who surrounds him in terms of quarterback pecking order.

dia bell got hurt....

mali toney who hadnt played qb since the 8th grade....walked right in and had that AH offense humming n didnt miss a beat.

He isnt sorry but he **** sure isnt some 5 star qb.

Name the 5 star qbs even from s.fla through the years......Dia Bell may not rank top 20 in the rankings of a s.fla qb legitimately.
He got the celebrity kid, texas commit, manning camp bump and its ok...because he giving pub to s.fla qbs that are generally underrated.

I think he will be good on the next level with development.

*Article on some of my point. I think @DMoney has hit on these points throughout the years on this site inr egards to s.fla qbs.

How does he look like ****?

I don’t know if you’re trolling or not.

+ He takes forever to make reads.
+ Can’t execute simple screens and short hitches in a game.
+ Rarely seen him hit a slant in 4yrs that allowed the WR to get yac.
+ Misses open WR’s all over the field. All the time.

Ok.

What games have you been to that he’s even been “very good”.

You and Macho are basically describing Kyle Wright. Guy looked great in shorts, but can’t do it in real action.

Are you new here, Coach?

So this guy is Football Jesus in here now?

I’d love for someone to post that kids performances against any team of their choice.

This guy is a sub 60% passer in high school. And that’s with a steady diet of screens and hitches that he can’t complete.

Attempting to offer a coherent argument in favor of the 5* sfla QB that never considered Miami on the Miami message board...
