I like the direction they're going with the LBs. Speed on top of speed. Hopefully it cuts down on missed tackles in space. Guys can run to the ball instead of being a step slow and lunging at tackles, especially with how the scheme leaves zones of the field open

Agreed. It's been a long time since we've had speed on all 3 levels of the defense. When we have fast disrupters upfront followed by fast playmaking LBs in the second level with fast ballhawking DBs behind them, then we'll be back to the old U.

Golden was all about big, slow, containment space-eaters upfront which put all the playmaking onus on the LBs and DBs. Straight dumb. Thankfully we've turned that page and brought back speed to the DL, but we didn't complement guys like McIntosh, Willis, Joe Jackson, etc. with speedy LBs who could maintain the second level.

We need to bring speed back to the LB position. It will make a **** of a difference so that we don't get gashed in the soft zones like we have the past few years.
