Dematha vs Miami Central......BTW vs St Thomas

South Florida teams been beating down out of state teams for years. DeMatha beats a Central team that's way down and now South Florida is overrated lol

When? Because everytime they do they get beat, that 2008 NW team didnt even beat texas's best team, the only quality of win i have seen recently is when BTW beat a good gorman squad in 2013 and they barely beat them, outside of that they get beat

Central beat the **** outta some team from GA last year, Booker T beat Hoovers ***. 2007 Booker T shut AJ Green *** down 35-3. Northwestern ****ed up Southlake in they own stadium

The fact that you cant name that GA team is hilarious, and if im not mistaken central played hoover last year and almost lost, that south lake team wasnt the best in the state that year, i think you were talking about that norcross team that had lost a ton of playmakers that got beat by BTW

And for yall DC ******s trying to compare talent off 1 game. Take the All-Area DC/Maryland/VA team and let them play the all-dade we don't even need Broward or palm beach. I bet yall it would be 60-0 dade. You could take an all texas and all cali team too and Dade would do the same to them.

Central beat Don Bosco and Booker T aslo beat Norcross GA... ST Thomas beat De La Salle also

Lmao, did you see the year before when BTW got their sh¡t pushed in by norcross here in miami, that year they beat them that norcross team was crap, kinda like yall saying that yea they played a weak SoFl team blah blah blah the same can be said for those instances that you brought up, please explain to me how a stacked STA team lost to a 6 win don bosco team? Overall SoFl teams have a horrible record with OOS teams, in fact the number of wins they do have are on teams with down years

I think the only out of state team St Thomas has lost to is Don Bosco.. I do not recall Norcross beating BTW if they did please state which year. Because the year before BTW beat Norcross they also beat Cedar hill from texas which was a top team. St Thomas also beat De La Salle from California.

Don't matter bro. Those texas ******s talked mad **** all summer and northwestern clowned they asses. No Texas team in history would be a 4-8A south Florida state champion team

Dude are you retarded YOU PUT IT IN CAPITAL LETTERS IN YOUR POST

I needed to make the words bigger for you since you kept missing my point.

And yet you just contradicted yourself, first you say no now you say yes dude you really dont know what you are talking about

Lol what? you lost me.. you have failed to give examples of broward players going to dade and you sir believe that public schools can compete with private schools year in and year out. Someone already said that besides TX, GA,and South Florida, that no other states have public schools that can compete with private schools in their city. You named some other good football schools in your area and guess what? They are private schools. I never contradicted myself. South Florida has the best talent and that is why we had the most NFL players drafted the last 3 years.

You are getting my convo with you mixed up with someone elses i was telling you that central does poach kids from all over dade, that broward stuff is from someone else

ok well you are wrong because they do not get players from all over dade. Im sorry we do get a few transfers but it is nothing compared to Dematha. If we got the best players from dade we would be a juggernaut every year.

Even going back in the day the 95 and 98 northwestern teams carol citys state teams, killian in 2004. Any of those teams would have beaten any teams in the country those years

Wait I thought a 3 star from south FLorida was................................

Dade got they ash kicked.....If you can ball you can ball....

Saying that Central, Booker T, Edison , Northwestern are what maybe in a 3 mile radius? Public schools gonna have down years..Private schools shouldnt.... We gonna act LIke Don Bosco didnt stomp St. Thomas last year??? Talent is everywhere you pfhaggots. We will see what Herotage does

That Miami High team won multiple national championships, with most of their games being OOS.

Dade county has to lead every county in the nation in teams with national championships. Miami high, Coral Gables, NW, Booker T.

Let's be fair here.

I'm not even going to address the up North (and across the country) public schools because on the whole they're so far behind the private schools up there and both public and private schools down here. The private schools, in general, up North recruit more than South Florida does in terms of just pure square milage. The South Florida public schools get players from other public schools that are down the street. It's still recruiting. St. Thomas recruits just as much if not more than all the schools up north ala Lamarcus Joyner and Rashad Greene. Also, South Florida schools tend to travel while the other schools don't and its not just because of stadium issues.

It is a general down year for South Florida football in the public sector. That's no excuse to talk a big game against Dematha and then get your head kicked in. That's a good Central team that got obliterated and looked incredibly disorganized and poorly coached.

On the whole, the argument is very much there that South Florida football players are better than other states (NFL draft as the source) and there's some jealousy about that but for all the chest beating we South Floridians do about being the best we should probably be honest and give credit where credit is due when we get beat and beat badly at that. No whining and no excuses. The gap, regardless of whether you think it's there or not about South Florida players and I emphasize players, being better than their counterparts around the country isn't exactly massive as much as people say it is.

Give Dematha credit. They beat the #2 team, a South Florida one, in the country convincingly. All that should be said is that we'll get them the next time.

I'm just so surprised that they're were playing out of state all the way to Ohio way back to then. With less games and less transportation, I'd have thought Georgia and Alabama teams were as far North as Florida games would go.

The gap between talent, with a big part being potential, yes.

Not so much when it comes to hs teams. Top programs that lack top- talent, make up for it with resources and an all-around commitment to winning. They spend more on coaching, resources to aid the coaching-staff, and they make sure, whether it's a parent or coach that their kids have enough to eat.

This is why I give props to teams like the MNW '07 team that won with Jacory Harris basically calling the offense. Or, '13 Booker T that was comprised of mostly overtown kids except for maybe a few players. They have to deal with relatively minimal resources, some of the country's worst neighborhood/gang violence, etc... Extremely impressive to see a coach like Ice Harris have to deal with all of those external issues, not have any kids get in trouble, all of them qualified, and oh yeah, they won a NC.
