DeMarcus Van Dyke

Waiting to hear what Liberty and Macho have to say. With that said the entire defensive staff can go imo. **** the entire offensive staff can go to. It's whatever at this point.

All this Rumph can't relate with Inner city Kids BS makes me want to Lol....Dude played & started on some Notoriously "Inner City Goon Squads" from 98-2001, and did unbelievably A-Okay relating with a Team full of Savages....But allllll of a sudden...he can't relate with them......FOH with that BS...

look I don't know what's going on in the inside as well as some people, maybe not even as well as you... but why is our **** CB depth in shambles AT MIAMI?

Bout time you started talking smart, you might just be a Miami guy after all, to much fog from all the hoe *** **** you said in the past that i saw, but if you keep this up, who knows!

Elder, Colbert, and Jackson are the 3 he’s put in the NFL and Jackson hasn’t played a single snap, Elder is atrocious, and Colbert has been good when he plays but he’s playing safety.

They undoubtedly took a step back this year. Bandy in particular. Ivey wasn’t what he was hyped to be. Blades was solid.

He was supposed to be the guy that not only recruited CB but was our South Florida plug into one of the best programs in the tri county and he struggles to recruit his position let alone help out anyone else.

Time to get someone else. I would be all for replacing anyone else on D but they’re Manny’s buddies and if you’re being honest with yourself it’s not happening. Rumph will be the scapegoat

You guys luv to be clowns and talk foolish, your words: "They undoubtedly took a step back this year" what did they take a step back from, did you ask yourself that question before you typed this **** man, the more people post, the more it shows how clueless yall are to football and UM culture, the 2 coaches on this team that should not be talked about are coach rumph and coach banda, we had the #1 pass defense in the nation last year, and all some imbeciles were still talking about were the 2 guys who chose to go to the security and exchange commission conf. So we got morons on here worried more about class rankings and being star whores than actual play on the field, lol. WTF is wrong witn yall, coach rumph and coach banda's units have been productive since they've been here, if yall think those 2 are the problem you're either undercover gaytors posting here hoping coach rumph becomes available or just plain ignorant to UM football. Alot of yall have the same mindset as flake james, if flake was smart, he would've kept quiet left coach richt alone for 1 more year, and than said something this year if things didnt improve, so 6 & 6 is what we got. Who on here thinks we would've been 6 & 6 this year with coach richt at the helm.

Something that teams target every game to exploit now

Thank you sir, if coach diaz dont get back to the 3 linebackes, that striker **** is hurting our run defense, and finley was playing banged up this year, now that we got more athletic linebackers, time to start putting 3 linebackers on the field.

Didn’t read half of that because of you’re inability to use a period. You just said we had the number 1 pass defense in the nation “last year”. Look at what it was this year. There’s the step back that I referenced. Sure, more goes into it that the play of the corners... but Bandy stayed beat by average wide receivers. Lost, turned around, back turned to the ball. Ivey was probably the worst CB i saw this year outside of the 2 games following his atrocious play against GT.

My concern with Rumph is obvioualy recruiting. 3 corners in 2 years. Misses on every elite player in tri county... when he was supposed to be our plug into the area. His recruiting strategy sucks (whether he’s overruled by Manny or whatever idk) but we spent half of our cycle not recruiting other guys like Delancey and even Devonte Brown because we had Hodges (poor evaluation in itself because hes not the caliber athlete we need to be after) and Daran Branch who flipped late regardless of his reasoning. Rumph is a lazy recruiter and so is Manny.

The same thing can be said for several coaches who don’t offer guys or stay in contact until it’s too late. There’s no due diligence on this staff. I would rather keep Rumph and fire Baker or Patke or even Banda but they’re Manny’s boys. It’s Golden and D’onofrio times 3...in the fact that he’s gonna be fired himself before he fires his boys. Someone has to go so it’s gonna be Rumph.

LoL, yeah, you said they took a step back as if taking a step back from having the #1 pass defense in the nation was lightwork. Your opinions on ivey is comical, ivey got better as the season went on, most people still trying to blame em for that pass against G-Tech when clearly that was a special teams coaching mistake and coach diaz saying dumb **** talking about "we went over that about 20mins before it happened" is one of the dumbest things i ever heard a coach say and highlights coach diaz's inexperience, and that's hoe *** talk. The coaches werent expecting a punter to bomb they ***, plain and simple, most fakes head for the sticks, not throw bombs. And on previous punts prior and thru out the year thats the same coverage and release technique we been doing on short field punts, G-Tech didnt just come up with that play out the blue, they were just the team who finally exposed that coaching flaw, if anything they had ivey looking for the punter to take off running towards the sticks like the gaytor punter did. And even still, that play only tied the game up, so coach diaz or anybody using that as an excuse why we lost that game are being morons.

The way ivey played this year is similar to how brandon harris played his freshman year and people were bashing brandon and told them back than, brandon harris is a baller, dont worry bout him, the same with ivey, ivey showed what level he was about going up against that senior dubois who he stuck to like glue and what he did against tammarion, im not worried about ivey, plus he has that dawg mentality in em. And speakking of levels, one of the best plays all year was that single open field tackle he made against atwell, if ivey was a 4th year guy playing like he did this year that would be different, did you forget he's a redshirt freshman.

Ivey had a 3 game stretch where he played well and got all of his interceptions. It was 3 in a row after the GT debacle. He’s slow, doesn’t tackle, and isn’t a smart player. Not sure how it’s a special teams coaching mistake when he just let the guy run right past him. If you’re over the gunner you re route him. I’ve never seen it taught any other way. You don’t just not even put a hand on him and stand there.

@Liberty City El @Coach Macho what are your thoughts on DVD? If we let go of Rumph I could see him being promoted. Do you think he would do well in recruiting in SFla or have similar results to Rumph?

Any S Fla names you can think of that would be homerun hires at WR or CB coach that are realistic?

What makes DVD qualified to be a CFB coach? We got enough people on the staff that is not qualified for the position starting from the top

I have said that.. Inner city black kids aren't relating to soft guys like Rumph, Stubbs, Banda, Patke, or Barry.... none of them can relate.. And we don't win enough to compensate for not having those people on staff.

How many inner city kids are we even recruiting? Every time I see the coaches doing in home visits they are living in middle class houses.

Again, ivey played well the entire year, a few miscommunication issues, but the fact you calling what happened in that G-tech game a "debacle" is comical, that play only tied the game up, so in essence the score was back to zero zero. If you think G-tech called that fake punt and pass out the blue, you dont know or understand football, again, they had ivey playing short and the coaches were counting on either a run fake or a short pass, in the history of you watching football when have you ever seen a punter throw a bomb, they wasnt even looking to throw it short because they had already seen our coverage alignments post snap on short field punts before, and knew it would come open at some point, if you think its on ivey than maybe that's the only game you saw this year. But i understand, you dont understand player development, if you think ivey is slow, ok, have at it lol:

lol that you said ivey played well the entire year... he did good in 3 games in the middle of the season but was exploited in a number of others

That's because you only remember the interceptions and the G-tech game, but dont worry, you'll see!

I'm against it.

Idk how TF I got dragged into this but I've never once suggested we replace Rumph with DVD.

If we were to replace Rumph I would go after guys like Wesley McGriff, Corey Bell, Corey Ford, Donté Williams, T-Rob, Evan Cooper Jr or Van Malone. There's plenty of options. I'm NOT saying he should be fired, but he can be replaced.

But in all honesty I'm legit tired of talking about it, he majority of this board actually believes that the CB coach has no say in CB recruiting but will simultaneously give him credit for landing prospects he allegedly doesn't get to decide if we recruit & offer them lol.

At this point I simply don't care, we're never going to have elite CB's here & that's just what it is, whatever excuses people want to make for why that is, is just fine with me, I just don't give a sh*t anymore lol.

And NO I don't want Rumph fired for the record, but we absolutely could use an actual recruiter on Defense, if that's not too much to ask for lol.

The fake was being out coached as usual by dIAZ. There was no return setup for the punt. It was either going to be a fair catch, endzone or downed by Gtech. Gtech coaches knew how Miami plays on those type of punts and knew the outside guy would sit 15/20 yards down the field. Easy to beat with a throw down the sideline
