I’m so sick of this fan base wanting and thinking we have to have a “Miami guy” every time an opportunity arises. It has gotten us absolutely nowhere. DVD would have absolutely ZERO business being promoted to full time DB coach if we were to axe Rumph. We need veterans on the field and staff and we would replace one young coach with subpar recruiting ability with another 1st timer? Do you see how terrible that sounds!?

Some people don’t want to acknowledge that the Sofia skill players are the HIGHEST PAID and in the HIGHEST DEMAND with the big boy programs around the country. This has got make recruiting pretty **** depressing when your Miami.

Bingo, the LB group has been the most poorly coached group since Diaz has been here...Shaq hits more wrong holes than a virgin.

That db position certainly is. A lot of those schools covet that position in south Florida the most

Elite kids are paid by top programs. Half of those types used to come to Miami, but won’t anymore. This is the new reality and only 1 thing will change it. Not winning, not recruiting ability, not coaching staff or coaching. Money is the only thing that will change it.

Bama and UGA do not have amazing coaches in their secondary (regardless of how “hands on Saban” is) but yet they pull the elite kids.

Can anyone name clemsons DB coach? Exactly but they get elite kids. Follow the money and you’ll realize why certain kids go to certain places

Tyson Campbell 15 Tackles
Pat Surtain 29 Tackles 2 Ints
Gilbert Frierson 15 Tackles

Kid was still young and green. Let's see what he does with a season of maturity and game experience under his belt.
