In fact I actually rarely ever go in on Rumph, the way I do on everybody else.

I don't think nor want Rumph fired, but you can't sit up here & act like he's the only coach on the board that gets heat because that's not remotely true. He's the only one that gets defended, but literally every coach on staff except Hickson & Field get heavy criticism.

Rumph is the only coach on staff that people actually make excuses for his misses, no one has ever once said that any other coach is not responsible for recruiting their position group lol When Patke misses on LB's which he does literally every single ****** time, no one says "it's not Patke's fault, he doesn't have final say in the LB 's he recruits", and they shouldn't. He's pure garbage as a coach & recruiter, he gets well deserved heat.

The fake was being out coached as usual by dIAZ. There was no return setup for the punt. It was either going to be a fair catch, endzone or downed by Gtech. Gtech coaches knew how Miami plays on those type of punts and knew the outside guy would sit 15/20 yards down the field. Easy to beat with a throw down the sideline

You got many people on here who actually think it was dj ivey's fault, lol, and coach diaz sounded stupid talking about "we went ver that play about 20mins before it happened" why not go over it when the special teams unit is being sent out. Im just glad to talkk to someone else who knows football, cause its NO WAY a team is gone let a punter raise up only to throw a bomb unless they seen how our guys consistently released guys. Coach diaz needs to tighten his talk game up and stop bashing players in the media and stop giving out playing time to quitters, unless he wants to get fired soon, no team is going to play hard for an unfair and suspect headcoach doing stuff like that. Better reward the guys who've worked hard to earn a spot, instead he starting guys who have whined and pouted to get spots!

All this Rumph can't relate with Inner city Kids BS makes me want to Lol....Dude played & started on some Notoriously "Inner City Goon Squads" from 98-2001, and did unbelievably A-Okay relating with a Team full of Savages....But allllll of a sudden...he can't relate with them......FOH with that BS...

I really couldn't give a flying fvck whether he can relate with them or not. Because he sure as **** can't recruit them.

And if he was really a great technical coach, why hasn't he developed the ability to be a db coach and make Banda redundant? Because he isn't a great coach. We still have 2 guys doing one man's job.

Rumph is perhaps the worst recruiter in cfb history and totally overrated as a coach.

Who cares if rumph celebrated when they got Christian Williams, tf he’s supposed to be mad when the kid chose Miami? That’s what the **** coaches do when they get commits... go look at what sam Pittman who was at uga does every time they got an olineman commit.

Rumph helped keep frierson in the fold when he was flirting HEAVY with uga, you know banda didn’t do it with all the decommits he has had in the last 3-4 cycles....

Couch ain’t grow up no huge cane fan, he was committed to Tennessee, flipped to Michigan and then RUMPH flipped him from Michigan to Miami. We have seen PLENTY of recruits who are “cane fans” turn their nose up at Miami when they recruit them so yes bandy is still a win regardless how some of you try to spin it. Rumph literally has only had 4 draft eligible players (3 have been drafted) since he’s been at Miami and none were recruited by him? Tf you expect?

My point wasn't that he celebrated getting him. It was the fact that when Williams committed it was basically like LeBron said when he finally won a ship "About **** time". We even had articles run with him talking about seeing a psychologist and **** so don't act like even Rumph wasn't feeling the heat of not landing recruits. Landing Williams was a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.

Again, Williams is his only recruiting win in 4+ years. And as far as developing kids, none of his guys are making an impact in the league and he has 2 guys drafted in 5th round. None of the current guys look like they will be taken high when their time comes either.

Idk how TF I got dragged into this but I've never once suggested we replace Rumph with DVD.

If we were to replace Rumph I would go after guys like Wesley McGriff, Corey Bell, Corey Ford, Donté Williams, T-Rob, Evan Cooper Jr or Van Malone. There's plenty of options. I'm NOT saying he should be fired, but he can be replaced.

But in all honesty I'm legit tired of talking about it, he majority of this board actually believes that the CB coach has no say in CB recruiting but will simultaneously give him credit for landing prospects he allegedly doesn't get to decide if we recruit & offer them lol.

At this point I simply don't care, we're never going to have elite CB's here & that's just what it is, whatever excuses people want to make for why that is, is just fine with me, I just don't give a sh*t anymore lol.

And NO I don't want Rumph fired for the record, but we absolutely could use an actual recruiter on Defense, if that's not too much to ask for lol.

Not trying to run counter to you here, but you know that for sure ? A lot of the stuff I have read indicate that a lot of families take a hands off approach when it comes to the recruitment of their kids. Maybe I am wrong.

Agree w about every name on that list except Cooper Jr. Don’t get why him over a DVD (wouldn’t want either)? Grew up around the falls, but went to AHD for hs. Never coached DBs at the collegiate level, and only did hs at a small private in broward that never gets recruits. I agree that we need a legit recruiter.
