Promoting someone internally would be a classic lazy Miami type of thing to do
When your LBers are Garbage in Pass coverage....its a HUGE liability to not only your DBs...but too Rumph as well...
All this Rumph can't relate with Inner city Kids BS makes me want to Lol....Dude played & started on some Notoriously "Inner City Goon Squads" from 98-2001, and did unbelievably A-Okay relating with a Team full of Savages....But allllll of a sudden...he can't relate with them......FOH with that BS...
We've had some pretty **** good DBs...Some doing well in the NFL....My point is DB recruiting and coaching should be the last thing to gripe about....I don’t think this thread has a thing to do with Rumph’s coaching ability. He’s a solid coach. Time to get someone with a solid coaching acumen that can bring in some players to coach.
I agree at least 5 coaches that should be fired before getting to RumphOf all the Coaches...Rumphs our least F-ing problem....Trust me...
These people are clueless. Quick to point out his recruiting Misses but no one else’s like they don’t miss just as much if not more.Of all the Coaches...Rumphs our least F-ing problem....Trust me...
Rumph is a good coach but below average at recruiting. If we win games then he should have no problem at getting top tier guys. Losing games gets what we have now
Last 4 classes he’s help land 7 4 star corners and 2 3 star corners, but we need someone “that can bring in players to coach”. Nonsensical statement. Our recruiting overall is average but great in a couple of spots, why are people just expecting elite corners to come here when Miami has been utterly average the last 2 years? With all that being said, rumph develops his guys that he does get so he’s not a problem for me and has a very solid track record in that department. We have much more pressing concerns staff and coaching wise before you even get to rumph let’s be realI don’t think this thread has a thing to do with Rumph’s coaching ability. He’s a solid coach. Why does the coach have to be from Florida?
How about we hire a real ******* coach from a real college program not promote some random ex-player with zero big time experience because he's a MiaMuh GuyY

I have said that.. Inner city black kids aren't relating to soft guys like Rumph, Stubbs, Banda, Patke, or Barry.... none of them can relate.. And we don't win enough to compensate for not having those people on staff.
Of all the Coaches...Rumphs our least F-ing problem....Trust me...

Because Florida dudes respect Florida dudes but I don't know about van dyke, I know I sound crazy but I wish ed reed was our db coach or at least had van dyke positionWhy does the coach have to be from Florida?
Uga absolutely did want frierson actually. We said a lot of people were “never going anywhere else” and we have seen legacies or just assumed cane leans left and right go elsewhere in recent years. A recruiting win is a win as simple as thatSee above. No one else is getting fired for other reasons. He’s allowed to recruit more than just his position which he struggles to do anyway. He’s been gifted a few because Georgia didn’t want Frierson, Alabama didn’t want Williams (although he beat out LSU for him) Blades was never going anywhere else, we were far and away Ivey’s best offer, he truly landed Couch, and he truly landed Young.
