His official visit did not go well from his perspective. He ended it early due to some things that made him uncomfortable. I can't get into details, but I would be personally shocked if he flipped to the Canes. Never say never in recruiting but I think it's done and over.
No harm in trying if the staff really thinks highly of him though.
