I have some familiarity with this situation and very surprised he committed to LSU. He really liked Miami and DeAnthony and his dad were stoked that JT was recruiting him and visiting him at HS. However, they looked at the current UM roster and had concerns with the current talent at his position and if he would ever get a chance to play at UM. Thought he was going to commit to OU but once he got past the big recruit weekend there and didn't commit, I figured he realized he might be better suited to look at a slightly lower-level school to commit to with the possibility of the portal down the line if he excelled and developed.
Then I hear he is going to commit to LSU and I was shocked and confused. But the kid is a hard worker and determined but I just don't see him playing at that level ever.

With your familiarity to Lafayette's can you share why he is now publicly bashing UM ! ( ie. His comments at the -2:55:00 or 5:16:00 mark of Orange County media day where said he didn't like UM'S culture and that's why he chose LSU. His head coach looked he his head was gonna explode when the Lafayette made the statement)

IDK brother. I went to that mark and wasnt even his school talking. No way I'm watching that whole video to try to find what he said.
I mean you are dealing with 16-18 year old kids that have coaches of the schools they commit to telling them what to say when asked (you have no idea the things coaches at FSU, UF, LSU, etc say to the recruits about Miami) and also schools they wanted to go to that move away from them and they can get a little in their feelings. I wouldn't look too much into any of that stuff, for most of those kids they are novices to speaking on a mic in front of media and might not share the most diplomatic answers.

I lost time on this, too. Can anyone either explain how what he said was a shot at UM's culture or give a time stamp where he said something like that? Respect.

Check the 5:16:00 ( that's the 5 hour mark).

Your 100% on some teenagers are easily influenced and not media savvy, but **** Coach Aubrey looked tight when the young brother ran his mouth.

2.) He isnt as good as Charles and Venice is a better school to get into.

He said he didnt like the "culture" at Miami. Who knows what that means but he should of just went with he liked lsu better but that dig was tough
 
Wouldn’t sweat this one. Would never factor into the DE room as it’s constructed. Good luck to him at LSU.

Yeah, I'll be honest, I don't know what he is talking about or why he would say that except he was pressured to by the LSU staff. He is a good kid and hard worker and hope he has success, but I agree with most here, he probably won't see the field much at LSU.
I know several players currently on the UM team and the atmosphere and culture is pretty solid from what I hear. Miami was never a good fit for him from a depth chart perspective.

Lafayette could be a terror in the big12 playing for UCF. But the lights are bigger and brighter at LSU.

I agree and I believe you when you say that FSU, UF and LSU tell recruits all sorts of dishonest and negative garbage about us. Those three schools are literally the very bottom of the barrel. They are pure scum which is why I took such great pleasure watching us destroy the Disgraceful Gaytuurds.
