Coaching Dave Aranda

Where's Mario's and Kiffins Championships and Stack of big Wins at???
Far too many similarities in onion and aranda for me beyond the scheme they employ. Besides that I have ZERO interest in us running any form of a 3-4 AS A BASE... We should always be versatile enough to adapt to any teams we face but as a base I don't see a 3-4 as intriguing.

D....I already know how you feel about Kiffin, and even though you know Mario...do you think there's an outsider looking in??

If Aranda's buyout is 16m and Stoops' is 20m... Go get the guy who has/is actually building a program, and at UK of all places.
Don't understand the love affair with Mark Stoops. The guy has been there nearly a decade. He is 7-3. Take Georgia out of the SEC East and you have at best the Coastal. That is why nobody has been competitive against Georgia.

This is one of the things that’s making me nervous about our situation. Hasn’t somebody reached out to Mario at this point to see if he’s interested? I keep saying the job is his if he wants it. Shouldn’t we know at this point if he wants it or is my timeline too quick?
i think UM knows whether he wants it or not, especially considering that he wanted it after Richt retired.

the issue is probably timing, considering Oregon is ranked 3rd and might make the playoffs.

They literally just won a national championship a few years ago with Ed O as their corch. Oh and Aranda was also literally the DC.
Absolutely lsu has been an interesting spot in the last few years and Ed as an individual is a handful but to call him a corch and essentially compare him to people like Mandy who is a CORCH shows an inability to read the room.

The problem fans run into is they assume everything should be done on their timelines... When you're involving other people's careers that aren't as unstable as our situation, than the urgency is one sided. Things will be made clear for fans when it needs to be. Just be patient and from the way I understand our situation you'll be pretty happy.

You're going to get stability. And like Mario, you're going to get a tough minded coach who values o line play and defense, but unlike Mario, Stoops is not married to an offensive style. Stoop's brought in Liam Coen last year, who was with the Rams as a wr coach, to up date the offense and run what the Rams use. However, UK doesn't have the skill players to do that and that's the issue with being at UK. Stoops won't have that problem at UM. Stoops with a good OC at Miami would kill it. No doubt. He checks off the most boxes.

And Aranda crowd thinks our current roster is deficient to run a base 40 front next year...lol.

I think 34 base has more potential than 43 base, but I do still like 43 base better. Plus I think for recruiting we'll be better off in 43

From your understanding and point of view how would you rate on a scale of 1-10 of the situation and the future of the program if it goes the way you are expecting?

Aranda would be a phenomenal choice for SC. I think he pulls a high quality OC in that setting too.

If it came down to Aranda vs Franklin for that job it could almost be a mini version of our Kiffin vs Cristobal debates. Do you take the maven recruiter or the gameday coach?

I actually want to see SC back so I hope they get it right as long as their search is completely irrelevant to ours.

I know how you both feel about Butch and Manny. Here’s another couple new ones for my Caneinorlando inspired Butch versus Manny series…
