Sad that our own “fans” are the biggest haters. He was spectacular during the second half of the season and most mocks have him going in the early 20’s.

Crazy thing is if moten plays like he did this playoff run all season in 2026 he'll go 1st rd. And Scott been balling too and he's a freak show he'll get 1st rd buzz as well. Let us get Damon Wilson thats another guy with 1st rd buzz

The biggest change is going to be the offense. With Mensah and the WR talent we are adding, 26 offense should look more like 24 offense. Meaning we could have a much more explosive offense, maybe even a higher tempo one. If that correlates to scoring more and SOONER, then the defense will be able to play more obvious passing downs and those DE’s will have to play less ‘run defense’

We played in so many dog fights, especially from early season to Nov, that the defense needed to be so well rounded because the score being close kept the playbook open for opposing offenses.

TLDR : more explosive offense = more passing downs for defense = hurts less to lose the 2 best run defense edge players in the country.

Agree with this assuming we get the line in order. That is where it all starts.

I remember saying Moten would 100% be drafted a few months back and people legit tried to tell me no. He’s now going to be a top 5 DT in football next year and will most likely be a top 30-50 pick. People his size aren’t supposed to move that fast

It is, I think we need another DT though, to fill a Blay type role. I assume Lightfoot will come in on third downs as he did this year and Blount will slide to DT on those obvious passing downs, we have a nice two deep on the DE side with Lightfoot/lowe on one side, wilson/blount/scroggins on the other, then as even more depts we have Pickett, who has looked great with a first step rushing the passer and McConthay who I think was hurt all year.

but DT we have moten, Scott, and the aforementioned blount on passing downs but we really need another body there. Jones hit the portal so he isnt an option and Donta Simpson screwed us as I think he was in line for a decent amount of snaps next year.

People make too much of the age thing….. teams picking 20-32 aren’t going to give a **** that he’s 25 because they’re contending teams looking for immediate impact players. And that he is. Teams in that range don’t have time for a “raw” 2-3 year development plan.
