I don’t understand why so many here refuse to accept that Armondo Blount will be more of a DT in 2026. He played inside a lot more than he played on the edge this season. Actually watch him play, he does not have the bend to be a top pass rusher from the edge. What he does have is power and quickness that makes him a perfect 3tech. He is also just 18 years old and already 270. There is no way in the world he isn’t in the 280 - 290 range come next season.

I think we will have a great DL next year (assuming Wilson transfers here), but it's ludicrous to think that the unit will be better after losing two 1st round (perhaps even top half of the 1st round) talent at End, while also likely being less stout against the run with the third DT.

Mesidor was in the 1st round in Kipers mock today. Would be amazing to see 3 canes the first night

He’s more than fine to take. Just as long as we don’t take too many transfers in that spot considering how well we have recruited the position and some of those guys has shown a lot of nice flashes this season

Had Cici at 3 (Arizona) maybe a bit high for a non LT.

Bain 7th, Mes 20th...hope something like that plays out for those guys. Deserved.

Facts. He is likely to be a DT 4. If we land Wilson d end becomes crowded with talent. Lightfoot, Wilson, Lowe become the most likely top 3. Blount can kick out to end in certain instances but he helps us most at 3T like you said using his first step quickness while guys like Moten & Stancil are your more traditional DT bodies. I just hope Newton and one of these freshmen DT's are ready for rotational reps.

We have to rotate the D-Line more. Bains and Mesidors ability went down further in games because we couldn't rotate as much as we would've liked.

The point about Kiper’s mocks isn’t about him being right but every time that nerd is on live tv, he’s going to be talking about Mesidor in the first round and him being Kiper’s #2 ranked DE. It’s publicity. Free publicity. The more Mesidor is talked about the likelier he goes 1st round.

That's all great. He's not a dt weight wise. He's about 40lbs short. Ain't no way in **** that happens. I didn't see all this stiffness. He didn't get starter reps. I thought he was really affective . If you watch when he was inside he had one job. And it wasnt stopping the run.
