DAILY DEBATE: Who starts at LB, Wesley Bissainthe or Jaylin Alderman?

Not a clue about this other guy, but Wes is just alright. Pretty much a theme around here for years at the position by and large. So if the other guy is better than average, then Wes will sit more often than not.

Wes starts but wouldn't get caught too much into it. See Alderman in the KJ Cloyd role- he will get plenty of snaps.

Wes steps up, but i personally expect a good rotation at LB to keep kids fresh down the stretch for the money games.

I like Wes when we blitz the passer, but for run defense Alderman is a better tackler so I see both playing a lot this in different packages

Last year when injuries arose I loved seeing Guidry adjust to a 3-3-5 look. He likes to utilize that 4-2-5 as his preferred base but on paper our LB room has dramatically improved and I think we should take advantage and put 3 LB's on the field more often. Kiko, WB, and Alderman should see a good amount of reps together.

Wes will be the “starter”, but Alderman is going to play ALOT. It’s going to be wonderful.

Closer split than most think.

Alderman is going to get a lot of Flagg and Cloyd's snaps, IMO while Wes obviously gets a bump in snaps himself.

Tighter unit this year at the top. Younger guys will have to really earn their time.

To put it in simple terms, Wes have been a disappointment but since he is local everybody still give him chances. Give Alderman all the way until Wes can prove that he belongs and show massive improvement.

Alderman 100%.

Wes still hasn't figured out how to not bite on the Mesh & overpursues a lot. He's a good Blitzer but he also misses a lot of tackles due to being undisciplined with his eyes.

Alderman is much better in Pass coverage & Wes is better as a Rusher. Rotate'em both situationally for Run/Pass downs.

May the best man win. They push each other in practice and both play. I love Wes, but he's really gotta exert himself now. Good situation for Us to have both of these young men. Go Canes

Alderman has this year and next year for eligibility, right?

He, Wes, Popo, Bobby Pruitt are a really solid top four next year. That's a room that I'd say we've nearly 100% fixed courtesy Mario and Co.

Wes looked pretty good in the spring game. I would still guess Alderman that’s why he’s here but without Kiko, Wes seemed like the most active LB in that game against the run

I agree, but rotating situationally is often difficult due to tempo of some teams.

Alderman and it's CLEAR to me. I'm actually surprised at how many ppl are saying Wes should start especially since he got bashed a ton last year on here(not saying he wasn't deserving of it).

I was just thinking about Bobby Washington. Any updates on his progress? 4 years eligibility left. Hopefully he's developing and can get game reps.
