DAILY DEBATE: Who is the better player, Xavier Restrepo or Roscoe Parrish?

I guess it depends how you define football player. Roscoe is a more natural, fluid athlete and far more explosive. However, I put X in the better football player category simply because I think he could likely be a RB or a DB. I know there was a lot of talk here about putting X on defense early in his career.

Well, I think we all can agree that it’s been a while that we’ve been able to have a player to compare to one of our past greats from the last period of dominance. So no matter how we define or set the criteria, X belongs in the convo. That’s undeniable.

It’s a different era, so X’s #’s r going to be inflated, but Parrish fa sho.
Want a funny stat?

Roscoe's CAREER: 86-1355-12.
X LAST YEAR ALONE: 85-1092-6.

I think X is likely the better overall football player. Roscoe was more electric and was fun as **** to watch, but he was a little gimmicky because of his size. I still remember seeing him in Dadeland when he got drafted by the Bills and I was stunned at how small and thin he was. Dude must have had some cojones because he had to be the smallest guy on the field at all times. He was one of my favorites growing up.
X will probably end up best cane wr ever based on stats

No way. The gap isn't that vast. Brax was unfortunately hurt a lot. In '17, he was fantastic and had Malik Rosier throwing at him. A healthy Brax with a legit QB and he would have put up stats, man.
I agree with completely. **** he made Malik much better. Seriously a player I'd take on almost any Miami team.

X is different.

It's wild, man.

If X goes 52 catches 831 yards, he becomes all time leader in receptions and yards in Miami history. A bit of a compiler for sure, but ****, that's impressive with our history.
Jus mentioned that.. but playing in a passing era, and covid years added guys like Mike Harley and restrepo can assault our record books.. ward should break records too as our QB TD record isn't much.. we missed the spread era by being pro style bro the last couple decades.. so a guy like Dre who played two years won't be able to complie much against covid 5-6 year careers

The list is funny. Mike Harley is #1 all time in receptions. Harley is looking down the list at the likes of Reggie Wayne, Santana, Lamar Thomas, Dre, Irvin, Yatil, Shockey, Winslow, Greg Olsen, etc.

The one record that seems untouchable is Duke has 4238 yards from scrimmage. Awfully tough for someone to touch that.

yeah take the new records with a grain of salt. diff style of football now compared to previously. also most elite guys dont stay more than 3 years anyways.

This one is out of left field, but somebody asked me this on the Canes Connection call yesterday and I thought it was interesting. Who do you got?
You should've told that person please show up to this particular address, at this particular time, so you could slap the Jesus out of that individual... No comparison in this at all.
