My personal favorite was Mel Bratton he had all the tools and was fun to watch. Other than that this is a pretty tough one to answer. Gore Cleveland Gary Leonard Conley Edge Portis etc. we’ve had some great backs who were all fun to watch.

McGahee was so **** good before that injury. Might not have the best stats or longest career, but dude looked so dominant. Speed and power.

Best single season=McGahee
Best career at UM=Edge or maybe even Portis
Best career as a back including the NFL=Edge or Gore

I admittedly never saw OJ Anderson play in college but he was a very good pro RB.

So I guess without a definitive definition, I came back to Edge since he is in 2 of my 3 categories
