"The offensive line’s health..."
and quality of depth at 2nd positions.

For at least the past decade we keep hearing about “holding back” or “not gonna show everything”. I doubt that.

This likely has to do with losing some starters to minor injuries and also losing 2 nfl quality upper classmen to the league.

Once ACC play starts, teams will probably start playing softer towards the LOS to protect against the pass.

I'd be more concerned if we can't convert short yardage situations, but we haven't been tested there yet.

If this is our biggest flaw, I'd say our season is going great so far.

The "scheme", saving it is dumb which is what they must be doing. Having scrums up the middle every play just gets players hurt and won't help attract good running backs.

You're not surlirsing other teams when you unleash a counter or sweep play for ***** sake.
That saving the playbook **** has been proven wrong 100 times and people still believe it lol

I don't think we are built to be a power running offense. Henry Parrish was built more for this current system then Damian Martinez. Not saying he's the better back.. just the better fit.

Realistically vs Ball St they were selling out to stop inside run. We threw for over 300 at half so they adjusted. Then we ran for 200 in the second half of the game. I agree that we need to be more creative in the run calls though

I only don’t like it because 9/10 it means a run is coming

It allows DB's to get involved in the run game too easily imo.

Between the tight splits, and condensed sets... Its really just a gaggle of bodies at the line of scrimmage.

Use space.

We did the same thing last year, that why is surprising and somewhat encouraging we were one of the leaders in yards before initial contact last year.

The offensive line’s health.

We’re not winning the ACC with Markel Bell and Lou Cristobal playing starter’s reps. And I’d argue we need Rodriguez back too. He started game 1 for a reason. We have 3 starters hurt right now. When they’re all back, the running game will be better. When will they be back? We’d have better luck bringing a film crew into Area 51 than to get the answer to those questions, but they’re very important, regardless.
This right here.
