Dabo's shtick is perfect for college. Doubt he leaves Clemson for the NFL. Not even sure he'd want to follow Saban at Bama at this point.
I disagree with this. Saban is a curmudgeon. He's not a player's coach. Conversely, Dabo is very personable and seemingly very well-liked. I think he has the personality to jive in the NFL. He's far closer to Pete Carroll than Saban. I think he could thrive in the NFL although if I was advising him, I'd tell him to stay put in college. But these guys all have such huge egos. It's plausible he wants a new challenge. Since 2015, he's an astonishing 72-5. Maybe he gets bored??You ever hear the Zach Thomas Nick Saban story?
Dabo would get it 10x worse.
If he were to leave for the NFL I can imagine the allure of working with Watson again is a huge draw.Dabo's shtick is perfect for college. Doubt he leaves Clemson for the NFL. Not even sure he'd want to follow Saban at Bama at this point.

Agreed...but one thing all great/successful coaches have in common, regardless of level, is a HUGE ego. I can see him being tempted if they offer him Gruden money with close to but not full control. Can't see it happening.
Dabo is a control freak, and the pros are a different animal.
Which happens first? Dabo to the NFL or Dabo to Bama?
What's the story?

I don't know why but I keep thinking that there was a noncompete clause in Dabo's most recent contract with CU stating he could not go to Alabama. Not sure where I am getting that from. Any truth to it?Which happens first? Dabo to the NFL or Dabo to Bama?
Oh yeah. Consider Manny + Enos vs. Manny + Lashlee.I just don't see what would make an NFL team want to hire him. Most guys that make the jump are very innovative either on offense or defense. He just seems to be a good CEO who has made great hires. I guess that is part of being a good coach though.
Thomas did something wrong in a particular defense. Edwards corrected him from the sideline. Thomas yelled to correct him later. Get on with the scrimmage, Thomas said. What's the story?
