Not only that, he’s not recognized like a big x’s and o’s coach. That’s why he started winning when he hired the right coordinators. He’s a great salesman, that won’t get you far in the NFL!

You have to think there's some concern. Look at FSU under Jimbo. Once things were less than perfect, it went down fast. Jimbo was smart enough to get out when he did before the stink got all over him. Does Dabo do the same? They're not what they were and Lawrence and Etienne are gone.

Carolina made Matt Rhule the 6th highest paid HC at 9 mil per year. Dabo is 1000000x more accomplished than Rhule. So Houston paying him 13 mil per year (1 mil more than Belichick) isnt out of the realm of possibility.

Also let's not ignore ego. Right now Dabo is behind Saban in the coaching pantheon. Saban failed in the NFL. If Dabo succeeds in the NFL and wins a super bowl, it establishes that he is a better coach than Saban, even if Saban has more college rings. It's the same reason I would say Jimmy Johnson is a better coach than Saban. Winning a championship in college and a super bowl is rarified air.

Dabo is definitely bolting for the NFL. The best coaches in college have insatiable egos. Every college coach that has had dynastic success sans Urban has tested the NFL waters. Dabo will do the same. At the very worst, he doesn’t succeed and he falls back on another big time college coaching gig.
